At least four people were reportedly injured from razor lacerations after a gun fight broke out onboard the Block Island Ferry between riders who had been picked up from a popular beach bar.
The brawl started while the ferry was heading back to the Port Judith ferry terminal in Narragansett, Rhode Island, WJAR News reported. It left the area around 11.30pm.
At least a dozen police officers remained on-site for several hours, Fox 3 confirms.
The total amount of casualties is unknown, as well as the severity of the injuries.

One of the suspects was believed to have been armed with a gun, according to several outlets, but no law enforcement agency has confirmed that.
The Rhode Island State Police, the U.S. Coast Guard station at Port Judith and the Narragansett Police Department all responded at the ferry terminal.
DailyMail.com has contacted all three law enforcement agencies investigating the incident for comment.
A woman interviewed by WPRI12 claimed Block Island was overcrowded on Monday due to the all-day Reggae Fest at Ballard’s Beach Resort – a popular destination for tourists looking to party.
She further said the event was ‘body on body’ and that she thought she’d be stuck on the island overnight as lines for returning trips to the mainland were packed.
‘Block island, never allowing Reggae fest again lmao,’ one person sharing footage of police escorting three suspects off the ferry on Twitter wrote.
A Twitter user recorded police inspecting the boat while it was still on its way back to mainland
At least a adozen of law enforcement agencies were at the ferry’s terminal once it had arrived. Ambulances and police dogs were also on site
Emergency medical services and police dogs believed to be with the Rhode Island State Police were also at the ferry terminal, with the latter inspecting the ship.
The summer vacation spot, a quaint island about 9 miles off the mainland, is only accessible by ferry or plane.
Block Island is widely considered as a popular summer vacation destination for Northeasterners.
Rhode Island State Police told DailyMail.com that it will provide a press release on the incident later today.
