At Thursday’s National Television Awards, he took home the award for Best Talent Show.
And Anton Du Beke was still highly regarded on Saturday when he received a standing ovation from the Strictly Come Dancing audience during the live show.
The professional dancer and judge, 56, was left blushing as the audience and contestants alike began to cheer his name — as he held the coveted prize in his seat.
Winner: Anton Du Beke, 56, blushed Strictly on Saturday when he received a standing ovation at the live show following his NTA win for Best Talent Show Judge
As the show kicked off, host Tess Daly made sure the win was recognized when she announced: ‘Will we have another big cheer for our NTA winner Anton?’
The camera then turned to the stunned judge, who yelled “oh” while making a shocked face as the studio began to cheer.

“He’s very happy,” said co-host Claudia Winkleman, as Anton’s response was inaudible as the crowd began chanting his name.
The group of famous contestants and their professional partners, who were on stage, joined in as they applauded and sang to him.
Anton put his hand on his heart, stood up and bowed to thank everyone for their support.
Deserved: He was overjoyed at receiving the recognition on Thursday night, commenting: ‘I wouldn’t be anywhere without my fellow judges’
Another: Anton’s gong wasn’t the only win the night before the dance competition, which also netted the Best Talent Show award – beating out Britain’s Got Talent, RuPaul’s Drag Race UK and The Masked Singer
“I wouldn’t be anywhere without my fellow judges, but you can’t have this, it’s mine,” he joked as he picked up the prize and lifted it from the rest of the panel.
The judges were delighted at Thursday’s awards ceremony and came forward to thank his wife Hannah Summers and the show’s executive producer Sarah James in his speech, saying: ‘Thank you to everyone who voted, who watches the show. Thanks to my wife.
“Sarah James, let me tell you about Sarah James. I love this woman, she is the amazing thing that can happen to television, thank you for giving me the job. That’s why I love her, I won’t deny that. Thank you very much.’

She said: ‘I want to say a huge thank you to all the people who voted for us. What makes Strict so special is that it shows people who are not often seen on TV. Gradually you get used to it and people’s perception changes.’
