Glowing growth expectations point to cooler outlook for Voltas shares

Voltas delivered strong results in the April-June quarter of 2024-25 (FY25), which may have been partly due to seasonal factors. Other cooling companies such as Blue Star also did well. In addition to seasonal demand, there was growth in projects, indicating a broader recovery.

Voltas saw strong growth in both UCP (Unitary Cooling product) and EMPS (electro mechanical projects) segments. It reported a profit in EMPS versus expectations of a loss.

Revenue was Rs 4,920 crore, well above consensus. Ebitda was Rs 420 crore, again higher than Street estimates. Ebitda margin expanded 310 basis points (bps) year-on-year.
