Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre are being praised for ‘saving’ the closing ceremony of the Paris Olympics, which took place on Sunday night.
The handover ceremony of the Olympic Games from the French capital to Los Angeles, where the 2028 Games will be held, closed with an epic performance of their iconic hit The Next Episode by the duo on Venice Beach.
Fans praised the musical element after the event in France suffered from sound problems and was dismissed as ‘artistic rubbish’.
Snoop, 52, has been delighting Olympic fans as a commentator and cultural ambassador for the past week, with fans left in awe of his closing performance after flying back to his native California.
Viewers wrote on Twitter: ‘Snoop Dogg performing at the closing ceremony is such a perfect ending. He has been such a genuine cheerleader for all the Olympic events over the past two weeks and now he gets to welcome the games to his hometown.’,

The 62-year-old was seen in a suit of armour, ready to amaze the thousands of fans in Paris as the madcap closing ceremony drew to a close.
He took his position as the speeches ended and the grand finale began. American R&B star HER sang and played the Stars And Stripes, the American national anthem, on her guitar.
The actor then abseiled down from the roof of the Stade de France to the ceremony stage.
Cruise was presented with the Olympic flag with the five rings by gymnast Simone Biles and the mayor of Los Angeles, which he placed on the back of a waiting motorcycle.
Dressed in his signature black leather Top Gun jacket, the action hero rode out of the arena on a standing position.
