Yalgoo crash: Two women, baby killed in horrific rollover in Western Australia’s Mid West

Three people, including a baby boy, have died in a horrific fatal crash involving a vehicle that rolled over in Western Australia’s Mid West.

Emergency services were called to the crash on Geraldton-Mount Magnet Road, just east of the Gabyon-Tardie Road intersection near Yalgoo, at around 10.50pm on Saturday.

A woman believed to be in her 20s and a young boy died at the scene, Western Australia police said in a statement.

Four other occupants were flown to Perth by the Royal Flying Doctor Service and taken to Royal Perth Hospital with serious and critical injuries.

A police spokesperson reported that the woman, believed to be in her thirties, has since died in hospital.

Western Australian Premier Roger Cook called it a “terrible, terrible incident”.

“Because of the situation, the first responders were largely volunteers,” he told the ABC.

‘Our condolences go out to the families of the victims and the emergency services. We thank them for their incredible work.

“It must have been a terrible scene and we wish everyone affected by this incident much strength.”

Western Australia Police are appealing for anyone with information about the crash, or who has dashcam or mobile phone footage, to come forward.
