Influencer left with horse-like ‘turkey teeth’ flies back for £3,400 fix – as Love Island star smiles after vicious trolling

An influencer who was left with ‘horse teeth’ after a botched surgery in Turkey has revealed she can ‘finally chew again’.

Lauren Evens, 31, from London, had veneers fitted abroad earlier this year, leaving her unable to chew, eat or sleep due to pain.

She has now spent £3,400 on a new smile.

This came after Love Island’s Tiffany Leighton admitted she had her “teeth replaced” after being trolled on the show for her unusually white smile.

The 25-year-old bombshell from Hertfordshire confessed The Sun When she returned to the UK, she immediately rushed to the clinic.

But Ms Evans, a content creator with more than 11,500 followers online, decided to fly back to Turkey to have her teeth fixed.

“I got an offer for dental treatment from a company that wanted to do a brand deal with me,” Evans said of her first “failed” treatment.

She said, “But because of that, I didn’t feel like I had to do a whole lot of research.

‘I wanted that now, because I left feeling messed up, angry and unhappy.’

After her treatment in April, she returned to the UK and tried to get used to her new teeth.

But she immediately resisted, feeling “embarrassed and discouraged.”

She said, “I had trouble chewing.

‘I had to swallow food without chewing, which made me extremely sick. Chewing food is important.’

She couldn’t take it anymore and decided to do some research again. Three months later, in July of this year, she flew back to another clinic in Turkey to have her smile restored.

“They were amazing,” she said.

‘From the moment you land, you will receive VIP treatment, be fast-tracked through security, gain access to the airport’s VIP lounge and be taken to the dentist.

The dentist was great too.

“It took me four visits in one week, but it was worth it to complete my smile.”

Ms Evans received 20 crown veneers and shared the update on Instagram, where she joked that she no longer ‘looks like a horse’.

She said, “I’m not ashamed to laugh anymore! And I’m glad I can chew again. Now I don’t look like a horse anymore.”

The video, which has now been viewed more than seven million times, shows every step of her latest journey.

First she shows herself at the dentist, where she has x-rays taken. Then there are videos of herself at the airport, on the plane, in Turkey and back home.

“I looked like a horse after ill-fitting turkey teeth,” the video read.

More than 34,000 people liked the video and shared their thoughts in the comments.

Not everyone was a fan of her new look and wondered why she had returned to Turkey after her bad experience.

This is particularly true for dentistry, with millions of Britons struggling to visit their own dentist. The combination has fuelled the ‘turkey teeth’ trend.

One of the most common procedures in Turkey, popularised by stars such as Katie Price and Love Island’s Jack Fincham, is the filing down of natural teeth into pins and replacing them with crowns or veneers.
