For many Hollywood couples whose marriages are on the rocks, the near future holds hours of bitter divorce proceedings and the possibility of a protracted custody battle.

However, a handful of names have managed to avoid the pain of a nasty breakup and spend its aftermath together on a family vacation.

Proof that not all celebrity breakups have to be full of drama is that stars like Bradley Cooper And Gwyneth Paltrow have had so-called ‘divorces’ with their ex-partners.

While these breaks are usually intended to give the children involved a chance to spend time with both parents, they also show that not all marriages have to end on bad terms.

Since their divorce in 2019, Bradley and Irina have remained the picture of friendly exes, with both choosing to co-parent their seven-year-old daughter Lea.

In 2022, rumors of a reconciliation between the two even surfaced after the model shared a bunch of vacation snaps of them during a family trip to the Bahamas.

In a gallery of snaps posted to Instagram, one photo showed a bikini-wearing Irina and Bradley happily posing together, captioned with a heart emoji.

The following year, the couple took a family trip to Venice with their daughter Lea. A source told DailyMail.com that Irina’s then-boyfriend Tom Brady was “not at all jealous” of her close relationship with her ex Bradley.

Irina and Bradley are such close co-parents that they made sure to live just a few blocks apart in New York City so they could raise their daughter.

“He’s a real, active dad — not a nanny,” Irina told Highsnobiety. “Lea went on vacation with him for almost two weeks — I didn’t call them once.”

After their famous ‘conscious split’ in 2014, Chris and Gwyneth have enjoyed countless family holidays together.

In 2017, the couple were photographed enjoying a luxury yacht holiday to Cannes together, three years after they split.

Two years later, Gwyneth and Chris enjoyed another vacation with their partners, Brad Falchuk and Dakota Johnson. All four stars were pictured together relaxing on the beach in The Hamptons.

In 2019, it was claimed that Gwyneth also intervened when the couple hit a rough patch and convinced them to reconcile.

A source told Us Weekly at the time, “Gwyneth is the one who pushed them into it. Gwyneth is happy when Chris is happy, she only wants the best for him.”

The former couple are supportive of each other’s new romances, with Chris even joining Gwyneth, their kids and her new husband on a family vacation in honor of her and Brad’s honeymoon.

When rumors emerged this year that Dakota and Chris were engaged, Gwyneth reportedly gave the couple her blessing.

She previously said of Dakota: “We’re actually really good friends. I love her so much. She’s a sweet, wonderful person.”

In 2020, she spoke about Dakota again, saying, “I imagine it seems strange because it’s a little bit unconventional. But I think in this case, now that I’ve experienced it iteratively, I just adore her.”

Ben and Jennifer shocked Hollywood in 2015 when they announced that their marriage of 10 years was over.

Just days later, the couple decided to fly to the Bahamas with their three children to ride out the storm. During the break, they seemed visibly tense.

In recent months, sources have claimed that Jennifer helped Ben when his marriage to Jennifer Lopez fell apart, with rumors swirling that the couple would file for divorce within days.

Since their split in 2015, Kourtney and Scott have maintained a strong family bond, while Scott has also remained close friends with the rest of the Kardashian clan.

In 2019, Kourtney flew to Finland with her three children to celebrate her 40th birthday. Scott and his then-girlfriend Sofia Richie accompanied them.

A few weeks after the trip, Kourtney caused a stir when she posted a cryptic message on her Instagram Stories.

Kourtney married Blink-182 drummer Travis Scott and in November 2023 they welcomed their first child, son Rocky.

Kate was engaged to Muse frontman Matthew from 2011 to 2014 and they have a son, Bingham.

Although the couple sadly called off their engagement, they remain friends and were photographed enjoying a family holiday on the Greek island of Skiathos in 2021.

A source told PEOPLE at the time, “They stand out among other families and newlyweds.

“They are very focused on the children and want to make it fun for them.”

Of their friendship, Kate previously told Wine Enthusiast: ‘We’re family for the rest of our lives, we have a beautiful baby and we love making wine. We’re going to keep doing it.’

Matt married his wife Elle in 2019 and in May 2024, the couple welcomed their second child together, son George.
