Horror as three people allegedly assaulted in violent home invasion: ‘I’ll chop your f***ing head off’
Three people, including a 78-year-old man awaiting hip surgery, have reportedly been victims of a terrifying home invasion.
Bobby Andelkovic, 51, said three men wearing balaclavas broke into his home in Adelaide’s northern suburb of Munno Para about 1.15am on Saturday.
Mr Andelkovic said the alleged intruders “sliced” his thigh in half with a blunt machete and beat his aunt, causing a blood clot on her brain.
One of the thugs is said to have told Mr Andelkovic: “I’ll chop your bloody head off” shortly after they entered his home in Galda Way through an unlocked door.
“I heard a commotion when they entered the house and when they saw me they started shouting and asking where the money was. Then they started beating me up,” Mr Andelkovic told the Advertiser.
‘There was blood everywhere – they used their blunt machete to cut my father’s thigh in half. There was just blood on the bed and the floor.’
Mr Andelkovic threw himself over his 78-year-old father, who is awaiting hip surgery, to protect him.
Two of the men then went further into the house, where one of them allegedly struck Mr Andelkovic’s 61-year-old aunt, Tania, with his fist.

The third man entered the living room, where Mr Andelkovic’s elderly uncle was sitting in his wheelchair, and allegedly knocked over a table.
When Mr Andelkovic called the attackers “cowards” for attacking elderly people, they attacked him again, he claimed.
The alleged attack lasted about 20 minutes. As they walked outside, the men allegedly smashed glass at the front door and punched a hole in the wall.
Mr Andelkovic was left with a black eye, a broken nose, jaw and ribs, bruised and swollen forearms and smashed knees and ankles.
He, his father Alexander, 78, and aunt Tania, 61, were all taken to hospital.

Although Mr Andelkovic was in great pain, he said he felt “more traumatised by what happened to me and my family”.
Police said the family may have been targeted, but Mr Andelkovic said he did not know the men and did not recognise their voices.
Nothing was stolen except one identity card, the family said.
