Moment adorable surprise is discovered hiding inside claw machine

Employees at a Pennsylvania mini-golf course got more than they bargained for when they discovered an unexpected “prize” in one of their slot machines.

Employees at The Meadows Family Fun Mini Golf were stunned to find a young groundhog in their claw machine.

The footage shows the young ground squirrel running around in the machine, trying to escape.

Shortly after, staff quickly called state forest ranger Salvadore Zaffuto to help safely rescue the groundhog.

As Zaffuto approached the machine, he saw the brown-colored animal running away and occasionally sticking its head out to “assess the situation,” the Facebook message posted by the gaming center.

Officials later stated that the company that supplied the game was called to unlock the machine, which they managed to do.

Ranger Zaffuto was then able to capture the groundhog, which was then released “unharmed,” according to the Pennsylvania Game Commission.

On August 9, The Meadows announced it would be hosting a contest to name the groundhog, with a prize to win a gift certificate.

“We want to have a contest and name the groundhog. Comment with your favorite name and we will pick a winner who will win a $25 gift card. Help us name Mr. Meadows,” the Facebook post reads read.

This happened a few months after a woman went into shock after finding a possum in her Christmas tree while she was decorating it and heard the animal sneezing from the branches.

In December 2023, Brett, an animal lover from Texas who has her hands full with three dogs, a snake, a lizard, and a cat, posted on TikTok that she got a “furry” surprise when she put up her fake snow tree.

The content creator shared footage of the rodent lying in the fake tree, explaining that she had “no idea” how the animal got into her home.

In a series of viral videos, Brett gave viewers a glimpse into the world of the possum as she tries to spread Christmas cheer by living in her tree, which was decorated with ornaments and Christmas decorations.

After a few calls to her boyfriend and animal control, the rodent was removed from her tree.
