Pixar Makes Incredibles 3

Future Toy Story films are almost inevitable at this point — Toy Story 5 is scheduled for June 19, 2026 — but here’s a Pixar sequel we should have seen coming: The Incredibles 3which was revealed to be in development during the D23 Expo.

Pixar is the rare studio under the Disney banner that maintains a balance between original and franchised stories. The creative spark from the 3D CG animation outfit’s heyday still lives on in recent films like Soul, To blush, Lucaand the coming Hopperswhich allows exercises such as Toy Story 4, Light Yearand (the admittedly very good) Inside Out 2 the easier it is to give a pass. But Inside Out 2 still grossed over a billion dollars and became the highest-grossing animated film of all time, so… Pixar is going to make sequels.
