Cowardly female dog owner’s appalling behavior after her blood-thirsty pit bull-type dog ripped Maltipoo apart in crowded park

Angry witnesses screamed and chased a woman who fled the scene with her dog after it brutally mauled a puppy to death.

The deceased Maltipoo’s owners, Andrea Jadgeo and AJ Tay, said the woman’s large dog appeared “out of nowhere” without a leash when it attacked on Second Beach in British Columbia, Canada, Monday afternoon.

Footage of the attack showed shocked beachgoers trying to separate the two dogs as children cried in horror, AJ said. CTV His attempts to pry open the larger dog’s jaws ‘literally didn’t even budge.’

When the larger dog finally released its victim, the owner ran from the scene and was followed by witnesses, who filmed her and ordered her to ‘get the f***k back’.

Andrea and AJ’s dog, Sky, has been declared dead by a vet and they are now calling on the owner to come forward and take responsibility.

Owners AJ Tay and Andrea Jagdao said their family was “devastated” by the loss of their beloved dog, and urged the owner to turn himself in

Jagdeo said she, AJ and their children were enjoying an afternoon at the beach and walking with Sky when the tragedy occurred.

“This big dog literally came out of nowhere, off the leash, running right in between my daughter and I,” she told CTV News.

Witness Harmony Hemmelgarn filmed the chaotic scene as passers-by tried to help, describing the moment as “absolutely horrific.”

“The big dog had the little dog’s entire belly in its jaw.”

Jagdeo said her beloved pet was only freed when a witness began kicking the larger dog. She and AJ were also seen running with Sky in their arms as a Good Samaritan took them to a vet.

“I screamed along with her that I loved her and that she should just stay with us,” she added.

As they ran to the vet, other witnesses chased after the owner of the larger dog, who ran away from the horrific scene.

Hemmelgarn, one of the people who ran after the owner, called the dog’s behavior “extremely disrespectful” and said she “is responsible for the dog’s behavior.”

AJ called on the woman to turn herself in, calling her flight from the scene a “great act of cowardice.”

The parents said they were especially shocked by the number of children, including their own, who had to watch the puppy being mauled and bitten to death.

“Nobody should ever have to see that,” Jagdeo said. “They saw things they should never have seen, and to see that with our own little girl is heartbreaking.”

While it’s not always illegal for dog owners to remain at the scene of a dog attack, animal advocate Victoria Shroff told CTV the potential penalties vary widely.

“People could potentially face anything from a fine under the city ordinance to criminal charges,” she said. “And everything in between, as well as a civil lawsuit for damages.”

After the violent, deadly attack on Sky, Tay said “tougher rules on this issue are needed.”

“More needs to be done for the people who own these dogs, they need to be given some form of training,” he said.

Jagdeo argued that “charges should be filed” against the dog’s owner, adding: “She made a choice. She made the decision to take that dog off the leash. She made the choice and she should face the consequences.”

Vancouver police say they have launched an investigation into the incident along with Vancouver Animal Services, but at the time of writing, the dog’s owner had not yet come forward.
