Now the blonde beauty is returning to her American Idol roots to help Luke and Lionel Richie find Hollywood’s next megastar.

While Carrie is no stranger to the spotlight, Luke did issue a warning to the new judge ahead of Season 23.

The Country Girl hitmaker took to social media to warn Carrie of the pressure she was facing, advising her to “ramp up her therapy.”

He said, “If she has a therapist, she’ll probably have to redouble her efforts. [up] to hang out with me and Lionel.’

The current judge, who is preparing for his seventh season on American Idol, even offered to help Carrie.

He joked, “Do therapists give gift cards? I can call her therapist and give her a gift card.”

Luke joined American Idol season 16 as a judge, alongside Lionel and Katy Perry.

After Katy left, it was announced that Carrie would take over.

Carrie will return to the stage 20 years after her win in the season, which airs in spring 2025.

In an emotional video announcing her new role as host, she said: “I’m proud of everything I’ve achieved with the show, and I’m so proud of everything I’ve achieved since.”

The country singer, who is the most decorated artist at the CMT Music Awards, made history with 25 wins and caused a stir with her performance of Bonnie Raitt’s I Can’t Make You Love Me during her audition.

Throughout her career, she has won eight Grammy Awards and consistently topped the charts with her albums and singles.

‘This coming season marks 20 years since Carrie captured America’s hearts on Idol and began her successful, multi-Grammy Award-winning career.

‘As a former Idol and dynamic musical force, she brings a remarkably unique perspective to one of the most popular shows on television.

“This is a full-circle moment for both the show and the home audience who have been tuning in for more than two decades. Welcome home, Carrie,” said Craig Erwich, president of Disney Television Group, in an ABC press release.

Host Ryan Seacrest, who has been with the show since its premiere, is also returning.

Ryan will also take over Pat Sajak’s role as host of Wheel of Fortune this fall.

Auditions for the new season begin on August 12 with the nationwide talent search of Idol Across America and conclude in September.

The season will premiere in the spring and air on ABC and Hulu.

American Idol premiered on Fox in 2002 and was a hit for the network, but was canceled in 2016.

After a two-year hiatus from television, the show was revived by ABC, where it has now aired for seven seasons.
