Diablo4 season 5 will drag you back to hell. The final season for Diablo4 will be shorter than normal — what with the Ship of hate expansion comes out just over two months later — but adds a brand new mode to the game: the Infernal Hordes.

Diablo4 Season 5 starts at 10am PDT on Tuesday, August 6according to a blog post from Blizzard. Here’s when that is in your timezone:

  • 10:00 am PDT off the west coast of North America
  • 1:00 PM EDT off the east coast of North America
  • 6:00pm BST for the United Kingdom
  • 7:00 PM CEST for Western Europe/Paris
  • 02:00 AM JST on August 7 for Tokyo

While these are the expected release times for Diablo4‘s latest season, Blizzard occasionally had to delay the release window by a few hours due to technical issues. We’ll update this post once the season is live or if Blizzard announces any changes to the schedule.

What’s New in Diablo4 season 5?

Unlike the first three seasons of Diablo4Season 5 doesn’t have a big new theme or a crazy twist on your typical powers. Instead, Season of the Infernal Hordes seems to be taking inspiration from Season 4, Loot Reborn, and is about building up to new endgame improvements that will last well beyond the season itself.

Many of the changes below are taking place in both the seasonal and eternal worlds:

  • Infernal Hordes, the season’s title mode, serves as a wave-based slayer mode offering special rewards and set in the depths of Hell itself. A new questline introducing the Infernal Hordes and its unique mechanics will feature mini-dungeons designed to showcase the new mode in short bursts.
  • The complete rework of every unique item in the game takes up a large portion of this season’s patch notes. These items still can’t be tempered, but their base stats and effects are significantly more powerful than ever.
  • There are a ton of new, flaming cosmetics available via the Battle Pass.
  • There are also huge changes coming to classes, skills, and items Diablo4 as part of the Season 5 patch.
