Dancing With The Stars rocked as brutal double elimination sees two fan favourites sent home
On Sunday evening, two crowd favorites left the competition during Dancing With The Stars.
MasterChef Australia star Julie Goodwin and athlete Nova Peris were both sent home after failing to impress.
After a sensational group performance to Kylie Minogue’s Step Back in Time, the couples battled it out for a place in the semi-finals.
In her disco era, Nova served Cha Cha, although Helen was criticized for staying within her means.
Nova scored 19 points, but it wasn’t enough to save her, despite her valiant effort.
Meanwhile, Julie returned to the floor with an impressive Foxtrot, scoring a whopping 27 points.
After her steamy performance, the jury called her ‘a sexy vixen’, ‘a cheeky girl’ and even a ‘dominatrix’.
Since there was no dance-off, Nova and Julie finished at the bottom of the leaderboard and were sent home.

Nova admitted she was disappointed to have to leave so close to the final.
“Look, I’m so sorry that I can’t dance for the next few weeks,” said the Olympic gold medalist.
“It’s just been a magical experience. It’s hard to put into words. I’m going to behave differently in the world from here on out,” she added.
