The Pioneer Woman Ree Drummond’s youngest daughter Paige, 24, is engaged to now-fiance David Andersen

Anne Marie ‘Ree’ Drummond’s daughter, Paige Drummond, is engaged.

On Saturday, Alex Drummond, the 55-year-old blogger’s eldest child and Paige’s older sister, confirmed the exciting news.

She posted a photo to her Instagram Story of the newly engaged couple after Paige’s fiancé, David Anderson, proposed.

“ENGAGED,” Alex wrote alongside a white heart emoji.

In the photo, 24-year-old Paige holds up her left hand to show off the glittering stars on her ring finger as her fiancé wraps his arms around her.

Shortly after, Ree, who will soon become a grandmother for the first time as Alex is currently expecting her first child, also shared the news and details of the proposal, which took place in Dallas, Texas, on her blog.

Paige shared her family members’ posts on her Instagram.

She also shared the posts of her friends who had a surprise engagement party on the same day.

In the snaps, Paige wore a summer dress with a suitably chosen, flowing white skirt.

Andersen was wearing a navy jacket, white shirt and light-colored jeans next to her.

On the same day, Ree shared the news with a post on her popular blog The pioneer woman.

She said she was “so relieved” because she had to keep it a secret for “six weeks” that her future son-in-law would propose to Paige.

She said Paige was genuinely surprised and that the whole family witnessed the couple’s joyful moment and celebrated.

“We are so happy!” she wrote in her post. “Paige and David are such a great match, a great team!

“Paige is my strong, powerful, amazing daughter and the fact that she has found someone to spend her life with is an indescribable feeling.”

The author also said the proposal involved “behind-the-scenes drama,” though she did not clarify what exactly happened.

Ree said she engaged in “outright lies and deceit” to ensure Paige wouldn’t discover their plans before it happened.

She also compared the couple’s proposal to “an epic action movie.”

In other exciting family news, fans of The Pioneer Woman discovered that Ree is set to become a grandmother after Alex and her husband, Mauricio Scott, announced earlier this summer that they were expecting their first child.

In July, the couple, who celebrated their third wedding anniversary last May, announced the gender.

In addition to her daughters Alex and Paige, Ree is also mother to sons Bryce, 21, Jamar, 21, and Todd, 20.

Earlier this summer, Ree announced that Paige has moved back to Pawhuska, Oklahoma to work as a cattle rancher with her father Ladd.

She said she was “so relieved” because she had to keep it a secret for “six weeks” that her future son-in-law was planning to propose to Paige.

“It’s really great having her home,” she said of her youngest daughter, a University of Arkansas alumnus, before noting that Paige is not staying at Ree’s newly built home.

“She actually lives in the city, in the house that used to be my in-laws’ house,” she said. “So it’s nice that we still have that house, that we didn’t sell it, and that she’s moved in and made it her own.”

She said Paige has been working full-time at the ranch since January.

“How long she will stay, whether it will be for a period of her life or forever, we don’t want to think or predict too far in advance,” she said.

“I’m thrilled to have her here. She’s the first of our kids to actually come back and work full-time on the ranch.”
