George Kambosos and his camp took one last look at undefeated lightweight champion Devin Haney before Sunday’s big rematch.

Unlike his first fight with Haney in June, Kambosos came in comfortably at 134.08lbs, easily under the 135lb limit, before chaos erupted at the Rod Laver Arena on Saturday.

‘Ferocious’ Kambosos pushed Haney forward as they tense their muscles, which started an escalating push and push with a lot of passion.

Kambosos and Haney had to be separated, and the two entourages almost blended into each other in ugly scenes that, according to promoter Lou DiBella, “got a little out of hand.”

Offensive Haney supporters taunted the Kambosos camp with lavish taunts, including “Your mother’s a bitch,” while DiBella threatened to evict the US world champion’s jeweler for aggressive behavior toward a security guard.

DiBella said that while the weigh-ins are entertaining, they can tend to get dangerous when the heads get hot.

‘You don’t want to see that. It’s very easy to go from that to something dangerous,” said the American 62-year-old.

“There was absolutely nothing staged in that. That was real. That said, this is a fight, a prize fight, and there’s a lot of emotion, a lot of adrenaline here.”

DiBella was heard in the Haney camp yelling, “I will throw you the f*** out,” and members onstage tell them to respect the guards.

Kambosos (20-1, 10KO) initially missed weight on the eve of his first stoush with Haney (28-0, 15KO) before losing a unanimous points decision at Marvel Stadium.

He’s another beast going into the return match as he aims to become the first four-belt Australian in boxing’s 18-year era to unite a weight division by stripping Haney of his IBF, WBA, WBO and WBC belts .

“I’m ripped and ready,” Kambosos said. ‘We are putting in the work. That’s a statement there. We’ll make a statement tomorrow.’

Haney hit the scales at a slightly heavier 134.81 pounds, with DiBella predicting a showstopper after Kambosos was completely outboxed suffering the first loss of his career in June.

“He looks very different. He is in good shape,” said the promoter.

‘Will it matter? I don’t know. Devin is a defensive genius, but George knows what to do.’

Kambosos declared Sunday’s showdown “do or die” last month and said he would likely quit if he lost again.
