International superstar set to perform at 2024 Logies is revealed – as presenters for the award’s night are announced
The television night of nights has taken on an international flavour, with the announcement of a British superstar as the first act on the entertainment programme.
British singer-songwriter James Bay will perform at the TV Week Logies 2024 at The Star in Sydney on August 18.
The 33-year-old Grammy Award-nominated artist, who performed Down Under in March, said in a statement that he is looking forward to the event.
βI’m so excited to be coming to Australia for the second time this year,β said the Let It Go hitmaker.
‘Australia has always been a special place for me and I’m looking forward to performing on stage at The Logies.’
James is best known for his triple platinum hit Let It Go and has been nominated for three Grammy Awards in the categories of Best New Artist, Best Rock Album and Best Rock Song.
The Logies has also confirmed the first round of presenters for the event, including Home and Away veteran Ray Meagher and his former co-star Kate Ritchie.
Other stars confirmed to take the stage include Rachel Griffiths, Deborah Mailman, Matt Shirvington, Larry Emdur and Luke McGregor.

The list of presenters for the first round is completed by Celia Pacquola, Stephen Peacocke, Michelle Lim Davidson, Claudia Karvan, Costa Georgiadis, Sarah Abo, Charlie Albone, Stephen Curry and the Muster Dogs. More speakers are to be announced.
Comedian Sam Pang will host the awards ceremony.
βIt was a wonderful experience hosting the Logies last year and I look forward to returning in 2024,β Sam said in a statement in June.
‘To make it even more exciting, Seven has also given me the green light to try new things this year, and I’m really looking forward to showcasing my underrated and seriously underdeveloped singing and dancing skills.’

Last year, after making his debut at the awards, Pang was named one of the best Logies hosts in a long time.
His sharp jokes at the Logies were aimed at high-profile targets including Channel Nine’s Karl Stefanovic and retired Sunrise presenter David Koch.
Channel Seven’s broadcast of Logies was a ratings hit for the network, attracting a massive 877,000 viewers.
Fans are grateful to Sam for the show’s success, with many watching the Logies for the first time, only to see him as the host.
He was a huge hit with viewers thanks to his fiery jokes, which tackled everything from crude reality TV to the scandalous private lives of celebrities.
Sam’s opening monologue included a dig at Married at First Sight, saying the controversial reality show was “a clear sign that we’re not going to make it as a species.”
He also joked about the lack of diversity in commercial television: ‘I’m the first presenter in the history of the Logies to present half Channel Seven and half Channel Ten.’
