After breaking the American League home run record by hitting 62 home runs, New York Yankees outfielder Aaron Judge has set a new record.

Judge recorded his fourth game with four strikeouts, the highest total of any player in Major League history.

He has now gone 0-8 with seven strikeouts in the first two games of the American League Divisional series.

The crowd at Yankee Stadium began to boo the man they were celebrating a few weeks ago as the game progressed.

‘There’s nothing I can do. I have to play better,” Judge said afterwards. “That’s what it comes down to. I didn’t do the work tonight.’

“The timing is a little off. You’re going to swing in places you don’t normally swing at, and the ones you can hit, you’re just a little late or tapping out a little bit in front.”

Yankees manager Aaron Boone complimented the Guardians pitching staff for the way they’ve treated Judge on this series so far.

“They executed him for much of the day,” Boone said. “The few throws he’s gotten, he’s been rejected. I think a lot of today was a product of execution by them and this was just a challenging day to pick up the spin, that sort of thing.”

The Guardians’ pitching staff did a good job of bothering Judge with breaking pitches to the low outer part of the plate. He then ran late on pitches that reached the center of the plate, leading to the aforementioned foul balls.

Star man Judge is in line for a big payday when he signs this off-season contract through a free agency.

Original reports claimed that after an excellent season, Judge could get a base deal of at least $300 million this winter.

However, it is now believed that a deal for the star lugger “will certainly bring in $300 million” and could be even closer to $400 million, according to a report from the New York Post.

“He will certainly release $300 million. But is he closer to $400 million than $300 million? Maybe,” says a rival director. “He’s so important to the richest team.”
