Adele fans brace for a potential tempest as raging thunderstorms threaten highly anticipated Munich concert

Adele fans may face severe thunderstorms as weather experts issue an extreme weather warning and concert organizers announce contingency plans.

36-year-old singer Adele will take the stage in Germany on Friday evening, just ten kilometres outside Munich, for the first of ten highly anticipated performances.

And while tensions have risen enormously, so too has fear that the weather could turn the evening into a complete catastrophe.

The German Weather Service (DWD) has issued a severe weather warning stating: ‘Isolated thunderstorms are approaching from the west. There will be wind gusts with speeds of around 60 km/h (17 m/s)’.

It was further emphasized that the risk of lightning strikes was life-threatening and fans were urged not to stay outside, which is exactly what attending a concert like this would entail.

But despite the DWD issuing a yellow warning, indicating a high risk, some fans are refusing to let fear of the weather dampen their enthusiasm.

Charlotte Roberts, 22, from Mold in North Wales, told MailOnline: ‘The weather forecast has improved but it’s still uncertain.’

‘There’s a really dark cloud hanging over us, but whatever happens, it’ll be okay – because my mom and I both brought our ponchos! It’s exciting!’

The threat of bad weather is so serious that fans are being advised to take shelter in buildings and prepare for the worst.

Further recommendations include securing loose objects and avoiding large bodies of water.

With temperatures around 23°C and humidity of 74%, conditions are ideal for heavy storms.

Although the darkening skies over Munich are still unpredictable, fans are overwhelmingly excited about the concert that will take place later in the evening.

Some admit to feeling uneasy, especially since even Adele had to cancel her dress rehearsal yesterday due to heavy lightning strikes and severe storms.

In addition to the high level of alert, the British singer’s supporters were also forced to fork out exorbitant amounts of money – including £5 for water, £135 for a 1.5-litre bottle of wine and £169 for a cushion cover

The exhibition centre, called ‘Adele World’ – the size of almost 60 football fields – features a Ferris wheel, a beer garden and several food trucks, as well as a wine bar named after Adele’s song ‘I Drink Wine.’

But the prices are exorbitant: four euros for a ride on the Ferris wheel.

And it’s not just the food and drink prices that are causing a stir, with Adele merchandise also commanding sky-high prices.

Fans looking for a souvenir will have to dig deep into their pockets, as a basic jumper featuring Adele’s name in glittering stones costs a whopping 100 euros (£84.50).

An official statement from the organizers revealed: 'Should the worst-case scenario of a concert cancellation occur, a 'safe space' is available to all visitors, which can be entered quickly but quietly as instructed'

Meanwhile, the extreme weather warning has prompted event organizers to announce a contingency plan.

An official statement said: ‘Should the worst-case scenario occur, namely that the concert is cancelled, a ‘safe space’ will be available to all visitors, which they can enter quickly but calmly following the instructions.’

These emergency shelters are located on the nearby exhibition grounds in Riem and are intended to provide protection against the harsh weather conditions.

Security personnel are said to be on high alert and ready to escort fans to safety if the situation becomes too dangerous.

However, organisers stressed that there is a strict ban on umbrellas at the venue, leaving fans with no choice but to bring ponchos for protection.

In addition to these announcements, the Munich city council has issued urgent warnings, urging fans to stay informed and take appropriate precautions.

This comes after Adele’s first concert in Munich was cancelled due to a security breach, just hours before her performance.

In a disturbing breach of security, a man sneaked in without permission on Thursday and shared videos on Instagram.

The content creator who calls himself ‘Sneakerking4u’ on social media boasts that he is a master at getting free access to concerts, VIP areas or exclusive parties – after all, he never travels with a ticket.

The content creator uploaded the clip to Instagram, sharing a video of the massive stage and staff hard at work getting the food market area ready for Friday’s show.
