The duo wanted to capture the opening ceremony with a selfie in front of the Eiffel Tower.

They shared the photo on their official Instagram page and wrote: ‘Friendship, solidarity and fair play are the foundation of the Olympic spirit, which will bring together countries from all over the world in the coming weeks for the world’s biggest sporting event.

‘The strong sense of togetherness we felt during the Olympic Games has always had a special meaning for both of us. And experiencing the Olympic atmosphere together again brings back wonderful memories.

“We are already ready on the Seine for the big opening ceremony. We wish our Danish athletes all the best.”
