Megan Moroney sets the record straight on Morgan Wallen dating rumors after trying to avoid the topic
Megan Moroney is finally addressing her rumored romance with Morgan Wallen.
The 26-year-old Am I Okay? artist confirmed that she was in a relationship with the 31-year-old Voice alumnus, but “never exclusive,” as she revealed on Wednesday’s episode of The Voice. Call her daddy podcasting.
I tried so hard to avoid that [question] “In every interview I’ve ever done,” she said.
“But here we are now, time has passed and everything is still good,” Moroney added.
She later said, “Okay, so it was never a relationship. Here’s what I’ll tell you. I’ve never told anyone this.

“Okay, so it was never a relationship,” she said, adding, “So he and I met in 2020, Jon Langston actually introduced us.”
“He and I met in 2020 and Jon Langston introduced us,” Moroney said.
“I was in my last year of college. COVID hadn’t happened yet and his album Dangerous hadn’t even come out yet.”
Moroney said, “We were friends for a long time, then we weren’t just friends, and now we’re friends.”
Although her 2022 single “Tennessee Orange” is reportedly about Wallen, Moroney remained coy when asked about it.
“I’ll never say who my songs are about,” she said. “Well, I’ll never name names.”
Fans already suspected that several of the lyrics were about Wallen when she released the song in December 2022.
Meanwhile, Moroney said she has “no idea” if his songs are about her, with host Alex Cooper suggesting she was the inspiration for his new song “Lies Lies Lies.”
The Lucky artist said it was “not that hard” to keep their relationship private. “I feel like he’s a very private person,” Moroney said.
“I was in my senior year of college, COVID wasn’t here yet, his album Dangerous wasn’t even out yet,” Moroney said

“Like I said, we were never exclusive,” she said, explaining that both of their schedules were “crazy.”
“When we try to meet up, it’s like, ‘Okay, we have this one day a month that we’re both maybe in town,’” Moroney explained.
“But he and I are friends,” she added. “Honestly, because he’s such a private person, it just feels awkward to talk about it.”
