MIA has claimed that she finds labeling an anti-vaxxer “frustrating” while criticizing “society” for “gaslighting” her for her views.
The rapper, 47, has come under fire for her comments about the COVID-19 vaccine but insisted that she is simply speaking from her own experiences and should be able to draw her own conclusions.
In March 2020, the musician stated that she would “choose death” rather than get vaccinated and expressed regret for having to vaccinate her son Ikhyd, then 11, before he went to school.

She has now been told the guard“I know three people who have died from taking the vaccine and I know three people who have died from COVID. This is in my life, in my experience. If someone is going to deny that experience and gaslight me, saying, “No, that’s not your experience,” what’s the point?
“What is existence that you’re trying to protect by giving me a vaccine if I can’t even have an experience and process that information in my own brain and come to some conclusion? And do I live in a society in which I have to make choices every day?’
The hitmaker of Paper Planes – whose real name is Mathangi Arulpragasam – insisted that people don’t have as much freedom as they think.

She added: “There’s this weird idea that we’re all free, and we’re fighting for everything, and we can say whatever we want, but on the other hand, I feel like there’s even more crackdown on that. ‘
During the first lockdown, MIA wrote on Twitter: ‘If I had to choose the vaccine or the chip, I would choose death.’
When a follower asked her why she was against vaccines, she wrote, “Most science is in bed with business.
Rebellious: In March 2020, she declared she would ‘choose death’ over getting vaccinated and expressed regret that she was ‘made to’ vaccinate son Ikhyd, then 11, before he went to school
Business is in bed with couches, couches in bed with tech, techies in bed with us, we’re in bed with corona. Corona is in bed with science. So beyond that… the best thing is prevention.’
When another fan wrote, “Oh great, she’s an anti-vaxxer,” the star discussed her experiences when her son Ikhyd was vaccinated.
She wrote: ‘Yes, in America they let me vaccinate my child before I went to school. It was the hardest.

‘To have no choice in this as a mother. I never want to feel that again. He was so ill for 3 weeks that Docs had to give him antibiotics to reduce the fever from 3 vaxins.”
MIA added that she hated having her child’s choice taken away, writing: ‘As an adult, you have the choice! By this time you have built up your immune system. As an ‘adult’ you have the choice to wish you all good health.
“Don’t panic, you’re okay. You’re not going to die. You can make it without straining the medical systems. Just breathe. You’ll be fine. You can get through it without jumping in the pan. You’re doing well. All the vaccines you’ve already had are enough to get you through it.” (sic)
