Pacific Highway crash at Charmhaven, NSW: Teenage boy dies
A teenage boy has died after a horrific accident on the Central Coast in New South Wales.
A station wagon was traveling on the Pacific Highway in Charmhaven when it left the road and struck a tree.
The driver, a 19-year-old woman, fled after the accident but was quickly found and taken to hospital under police supervision.
A 17-year-old boy who was a passenger died at the scene. His identity has not yet been officially established.
“A crime scene has been established and investigations into the circumstances surrounding the incident are ongoing,” NSW Police said.
A report is being prepared for the coroner.
