A dental hygienist has revealed her daily oral hygiene routine and the products she uses for a healthy smile.

And what’s even better, many of the products she recommends won’t cost you a cent at all.

The tips were shared by Tiffany Kim, a licensed dental hygienist based in California, in a new video which was posted on her TikTok.

In addition to sharing her dental expertise on the platform, she also gives viewers an insight into her daily life, style and beauty secrets.

In this clip, she explains her routine step by step, starting with the most important step: flossing.

Kim said she prefers dental floss over a toothpick for one simple reason.

“I like using dental floss. If you look at the anatomy of your tooth, it’s very round. That’s why I’m not so keen on the toothpicks,” Kim admitted.

She added that you can use a water floss after you brush your teeth with a floss.

“For those of you who have questions about water flossers, they’re great, but they shouldn’t be your main tool for flossing. I think they’re just a great adjunct tool,” she explained.

Then, of course, she brushes her teeth, with the Oral B electric toothbrush, which starts at $29.99, or with a toothbrush with very soft bristles.

Kim recommended the Colgate soft brush, which costs $4 and she says is very soft.

As for toothpaste, the dental hygienist said to go for one with fluoride, which can help protect your teeth from cavities.

In the morning, she uses the $8.90 Euthymol toothpaste, which she swears is a good remedy for bad breath.
