The couple wore black suits with a white shirt and tie as they joined others to lay flowers on Tithebarn Road.
Both looked serious as they laid a wreath at the spot where people had gathered to lay flowers and other mementos in memory of Monday’s horrific incident.
The wreath was accompanied by a plaque produced by Liverpool which read: ‘The thoughts and prayers of everyone at Liverpool Football Club are with all those affected by this tragedy. YNWA [You’ll never walk alone]’.
Fowler and Thomson also bowed their heads and held a moment of silence, as other members of the crowd watched on as two of Liverpool’s most iconic faces witnessed the devastating attack that has devastated the community.
