Anneka Rice made a tricky blunder at the National Television Awards on Thursday, because she seemed to announce the wrong winner.
The TV personality, 64, was tasked with taking the stage and presenting an award in less than three minutes by presenter Joel Dommett, ahead of Challenge Anneka’s reboot this year.
But Anneka seemed to jump when she opened the card and blurted out: ‘The 1% Club!’ before she realizes she has to read out the rest of the nominees first.

As the crowd cheered, she quickly added, “No! We’ve got Beat The Chasers, In for a Penny and Michael McIntyre. And the National Television Award goes to…’
“Do you have the sound ready for this?” she said, turning to sound engineer Dave Chapman, before announcing, “It’s going to, Beat The Chasers!”

The Love Island star, 19, presented the gong for Serial Drama Performance alongside her famous footballer dad Michael.
After the names of each of the four nominees were called as clips of their work were shown on screen, it was time to announce the winner.
