Married At First Sight 2025: ‘Hot’ groom identified as Eliot Donovan – as his reality star connections are revealed

The twelfth season of Married at First Sight will return to screens next year and will feature some of the most popular cast members ever.

Eliot Donovan has been identified as the “handsome” groom who married bride Lauren Hall on Friday.

Ny Breaking Australia can reveal that Eliot is no stranger to the world of reality TV and has connections to many stars.

His now private Instagram account features photos of the tattooed groom posing at festivals with Beauty and The Geek’s Troy Thompson.

Photos of Eliot shared on social media nearly a decade ago also show interactions with The Bachelor’s Kiki Morris, influencer Krystal Dawson and Simone Holtznagel.

Sources on set describe Eliot as a “super fun guy” and say he’s “ready to leave his party life behind.”

Although little else is known about Eliot, ZoSydney reports that he lives in Brisbane and once served in the Navy.

Eliot was spotted on the set of Channel Nine’s popular ratings show on Friday, where he filmed his wedding to Gold Coast bride Lauren.

He looked handsome on that special day in a black tuxedo with a red corsage pinned to his lapel.

Photos of the wedding leaked online, outraging former brides Lauren Dunn and Sara Mesa, who then reposted a photo of the genetically blessed groom.

“Uh, I was obviously in the wrong season,” Dunn explained alongside a photo of Donovan.

Eliot is paired with Lauren, the CEO of Mayfair Lane Gifts, a small business specializing in promotional gifts and merchandise.

Friends describe the cheerful brunette as ‘super fun and entertaining’ and say she is ‘really good at what she does’.

She already has a surprising connection to MAFS, having previously dated Jonathan McCullough, who was paired with Lauren Dunn in last year’s Channel Nine experiment.

They split in January 2023, after dating for about three months. They reportedly parted on good terms after a few parties, saying they were “too different.”

The couple met almost a decade earlier and reunited after their friendship fell apart.

A production insider told Ny Breaking Australia that casting producers “know” about Lauren’s connection to Jono and asked her to erase all traces of him from her social media pages.

“Production was hoping to quietly sweep it under the rug, but word got out that she was going to appear on the show and that they knew each other,” they said.

Jeff Gobbels, who previously starred in Neighbours, is also joining the cast. Earlier this week he was filmed filming his wedding to Rhi Disljenkovic.

The wedding started off badly, however, as it was clear that the two already knew each other. This goes against the well-known concept of the series, that couples marry at ‘first sight’.
