Katy Perry leaves little to the imagination in a sheer lace skirt and skimpy bodysuit for TV appearance in London – amid ‘crisis talks’ following her comeback flop
Katy Perry turned heads in a skimpy ensemble as she arrived at BBC Studios in London on Thursday for her performance on The One Show.
The 39-year-old singer, who is reportedly in “crisis talks” following the failure of her comeback single Woman’s World, looked very tall in a sheer lace skirt.
Katy paired the black maxi skirt with a figure-hugging silver bodysuit that perfectly accentuated her gorgeous figure.
She slipped her feet into sturdy black boots and shielded her eyes with chic, retro sunglasses.
During her appearance on The One Show, Katy revealed the sweet inspiration behind her latest single Lifetimes, which features her daughter Daisy Dove, as she continues to push forward after her first new release was slammed by critics.

The singer, who has a daughter with her fiancé Orlando Bloom, revealed that her new song came from a sweet exchange she has with Daisy every night.
She said: ‘Lifetimes is a song that I wrote, inspired by my daughter. I tell her every night before she goes to bed, ‘I love you,’ of course, but I also say ‘Will you find me in every life,’ and she says ‘yes.’
“The best part is that we’ve been all over Europe this summer and have been to a lot of beaches. I bought a big pile of gold chocolate coins. When we build sandcastles, I hide them while she’s digging and she finds them. She loves finding chocolate coins.”
“So the other day I said, ‘Can you find me in every life?’ And she said, ‘Yes, and we’ll find chocolate coins together!'”
‘I think you can just find your soulmate, it could be your best friend, your pet, your daughter, your son, your aunt, your partner. They come in all shapes and sizes and they surprise you.’
The song is the latest single from Katy’s upcoming album 143, due out September 20.
Katy’s TV appearance comes after DailyMail.com revealed she was ‘pointing fingers at everyone but herself’ after her comeback single Woman’s World failed to chart.
According to insiders, she is desperately looking for a new plan to save her musical comeback.

The singer released the lead single from her seventh studio album, 143, last Thursday, but the song — billed as a powerful feminist anthem — was quickly dismissed as unoriginal, hypocritical and predictable.
The Teenage Dream hitmaker also drew criticism for the sexualised nature of the accompanying video, and for her decision to collaborate with music producer Dr Luke, 50, following his high-profile legal battle with Tick Tock singer Kesha, 37.
With the single having plummeted down the US iTunes charts less than a week after its July 11 release, Katy is reportedly in a ‘panic’ and is demanding her team go ‘back to the drawing board’ to prevent her album from suffering the same fate.
‘Katy is freaking out because she’s very aware of the feedback Woman’s World is getting,’ an insider exclusively told DailyMail.com. ‘She’s blaming everyone but herself, but it’s her own fault.’
According to the source, the biggest risk Katy took was reconnecting with Dr. Luke, the music producer who worked on her hit singles, including 2008’s I Kissed a Girl and 2010’s California Gurls, before she was later accused of sexual, physical and emotional abuse by Kesha.
The superproducer, whose real name is Łukasz Gottwald, denied all allegations, including Kesha’s claim that he raped Katy – something she denied.
In 2020, a New York state judge ruled against Kesha, claiming she had defamed her former producer with this claim. In 2021, an appeals court upheld that decision.
Music fans have been vocal in their distaste for artists seeking to collaborate with the hitmaker following Kesha’s allegations, despite the duo reaching a settlement in 2023.

Some of Katy’s fans have defended the star, claiming she was forced to work with Dr. Luke due to contractual obligations. However, Katy previously confirmed she has no ties to the producer.
During her 2018 testimony for Kesha’s lawsuit against Dr. Luke, Katy confirmed that she had only signed a three-album deal with Dr. Luke’s Kemosabe Records and that the two no longer had a contractual relationship.
She also acknowledged the public feedback she would receive if she chose to collaborate with Dr. Luke during his battle with Kesha.
“If we were to work with him at this point, we would not be well received because of this lawsuit,” she said.
When asked if she thought the collaboration with Dr. Luke would have a potential impact on the success of a future release, the Dark Horse singer replied: “[People would] protest against it, a smear campaign, just 20 different stories than mine.’
After DailyMail.com previously revealed that Katy had been warned not to collaborate with Dr Luke on the new album, the source confirmed that the Roar singer had ignored the pleas.
“She was insane to think Dr. Luke was a good idea. She didn’t listen to anyone,” the insider said. “Instead of diving deep and making art, she released something that sounded like it could have been on one of her 2010 albums.”

Not only did Katy collaborate with the producer, the song was also largely co-written with men.
Dr. Luke, Aaron Joseph, Vaughn Oliver, and Rocco Did It Again! all co-wrote and produced the song. Katy and Chloe Angelides are the only women who contributed to the song’s writing.
There is no woman who produced the album.
“You don’t make a song about female empowerment with just men,” the source said.
‘Katy can’t identify with other women because she lives in her celebrity bubble. She doesn’t know anything about what it’s like to be a woman in the real world.
“She doesn’t use her star power to bring about change in the world, she uses it to make money.”
