Russell Crowe ‘is forced to flee his show at London’s Shepherd’s Bush Empire as a fight breaks out between his team and overzealous fans’
Russell Crowe was reportedly forced to leave his gig at London’s O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire on Wednesday after a massive brawl broke out between members of his team and over-enthusiastic fans.
The 60-year-old Gladiator star had just finished performing with his band The Gentlemen Barbers and headed outside to meet the fans who had gathered to meet him.
However, things got out of hand when Russell’s promoter got into an altercation with excited fans, with the actor running back inside as a brawl broke out.
A spectator said The sun that the promoter was “yelling at a couple of people for pushing,” before noting that a fan was filming the entire encounter.
He then claimed the promoter “grabbed his phone” and then “ran down the street,” prompting fans to chase him and push him to the ground.

The onlooker added: ‘Russell appeared completely shocked by what was happening and quickly turned around and went back inside.
‘The promoter seemed quite out of breath, but no one had much sympathy for him because he was behaving quite aggressively.
“Ultimately, none of this would have happened if he had stayed calm when he asked people not to push. Russell never came out.”
It is claimed that ‘four police cars’ arrived at the scene and began speaking to those involved in the fight.
A Metropolitan Police spokesman told MailOnline: ‘Police were called at 00:20 on Thursday 25 July to reports of a fight on Shepherds Bush Green, W12.
‘Officers arrived on scene. No arrests were made.’

Russell has been touring the UK with his band The Gentlemen Barbers and after a gig in Leeds on Thursday, he will conclude his run of shows in Inverness on Friday.

He said: ‘To be completely honest with you, after my divorce was finalised I became a f***ing slut. I was f***ing ridiculous, I had s*** everywhere. You know the old saying, ‘There’s a girl in every harbour?’
The womanizer, who was linked to Billy Joel’s ex-wife Katie Lee, 42, in 2012, also admitted to using the controversial ‘lovebombing’ technique.
In lovebombing, one person showers another with excessive affection, compliments and gifts in order to influence him or her.
Russell, who starred in A Beautiful Mind and American Gangster, said: “I would set these things up. They have that saying now, you lovebomb someone.”
“I’d go fuck people like crazy and love bomb them because I have a few bucks to spare so you can do that kind of stuff.”
The candid comments were made during a live performance by Russell’s band, just hours before the brawl reportedly broke out.
The New Zealand-born actor also opened up about the time he was set to go on a date with a younger woman in France, but she decided to turn the A-list star down in favour of one of Britain’s biggest seaside cities.
“The situation was with a young lady, and when I say young, I mean considerably younger than me. Considerably, let’s leave it at that,” he explained. It’s not clear who the younger woman Russell is referring to was.
“As we got closer to the dates we were supposed to meet in Paris, I found out she had gone somewhere else. Now you just have to put yourself in this position, okay?
‘Here are the options: you, and the person, and Paris. She decided to go to Southampton instead. F*** off. If you pull out the list of the 50 best places to visit before you die, guess what’s not on the f***ing list?’
His lustful phase lasted for a few years before Crowe realized his mistake and settled down with former actress Britney Theriot, 31, with whom he has had a “fantastic relationship” since 2020.
It comes after the actor admitted that following his split from wife Danielle Spencer, he has fully embraced his new single status by becoming a ‘f***ing slut’

He also maintains a close bond with his ex-wife Spencer, 55, with whom he has two sons, Charles, 20, and Tennyson, 18.
The actor is noticeably absent from the upcoming sequel to Gladiator, the film that made him an international star.
Fans hoped he would appear in a flashback or afterlife scenes, but director Ridley Scott is focusing on the character of Lucius, played by Paul Mescal.
