The pictures Matt Smith didn’t want the world to see: Actor is seen on set with Katie Price’s ex Kieran Hayler amid claims ‘he requested the former stripper be edited out of TV drama’ after being ‘cast by mistake’
Kieran Hayler was photographed on set with Matt Smith after it emerged the actor had ‘requested that the former stripper be removed from a TV drama’ they had both been cast in.
The 42-year-old Doctor Who star was shocked to discover that Katie Price’s ex-husband would also be starring in The Death Of Bunny Munro.
Kieran, 37, was spotted in Brighton earlier this month filming the six-part Sky Atlantic drama alongside Matt, but the pair were never seen together.
In a series of on-set snaps, Kieran was seen wearing a white polo shirt as he filmed scenes with a blonde actress, while Matt smiled as he was filmed driving around the seaside resort in a car.
But the ’embarrassed’ BAFTA nominee is said to have requested that Kieran be cut from all the scenes he filmed, after the former stripper… apparently accidentally cast for the black comedy – which was filmed about the singer Nick Grot‘s second novel.

Sources close to Matt are said to be ’embarrassed’ that he would appear alongside Kieran, who worked as a stripper before meeting former glamour model Katie, the Mail revealed.
A Sky source said: ‘When Matt realised Kieran was on the same show he was quite surprised.
‘Both men have been on set and filmed scenes, but Matt’s team decided he couldn’t possibly play alongside someone like him and asked the production staff to take him out.’
The source added: ‘It’s amazing to think that Matt would be in the same show as Kieran, who, as far as we know, has never acted before.
‘It’s a high quality production, with not only Matt but also Robert Glenister in the line-up.
‘So Matt’s team couldn’t just sit back and let this happen. They stepped in and asked for him to be removed.
“You can’t say it would have been good for Matt’s reputation.”
A source close to production at Sky said: ‘Kieran has no part in the show.

‘He came through an extras agency and was in the background of a scene as an extra. No one on the production knew who he was.’
The television series tells the story of Bunny Munro, a sex addict who meets women through his job as a traveling beauty product salesman.
Kieran married Katie, 46, in 2013 and they welcomed son Jett that same year. They welcomed daughter Bunny the following year.
Within months, their marriage fell apart when Katie accused him of having an affair and said they could only try again if he got therapy for his sex addiction.
But Matt was reportedly so shocked by the hiring of the former stripper that he asked for him to be taken out of the scenes he had filmed.

Bunny Munro also has a soft spot for the opposite sex and can’t help but seduce women. However, he also has a young son to look after on his own after his wife commits suicide.
The series was filmed in the south of England and also stars Roadkill actress Sarah Greene.
