The latest Final Fantasy 14 collaboration features adorable keychains and an in-game mount – but you’ll have to buy a lot of bubble tea
The last Final Fantasy 14 There is currently a collaboration campaign going on and it looks like this is going to be a favorite among those with a sweet tooth.
A crossover with bubble tea retailer Gong Cha, the collaboration offers the chance to get an exclusive Porxie King mount for your in-game character. You can do this by purchasing at least three teas in a single transaction at a participating retailer, who will give you a scratch card with a unique code that can be redeemed via the Final Fantasy 14 website.
As you might expect, you can only redeem one code per account, and the promotion is only available while supplies last. The code is only redeemable until September 4th, presumably to prevent greedy resellers from hoarding codes to sell later.
The event runs until August 28th, and during that time you can also pick up three unique collaboration drinks to try. These include the Fat Cat Brown Sugar Milk Tea, the Fat Chocobo Mango Frozen Tea, and the Cactuar Match Milk Tea. All of these come in colorful special edition cups featuring characters from Final Fantasy 14.
Qualifying purchases will also receive a commemorative keychain modeled after one of these drinks. The requirements to receive one appear to vary by store and region, however, so developer Square Enix has advised customers to “check in-store for more information.”
The promotion is available in both the US and the UK, though information on which individual stores are participating seems a little scarce. If you have one nearby and are interested in getting your hands on the mount, it’s definitely worth checking it out for yourself.
Final Fantasy 14 is now available for PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X, and Xbox Series S. It received its latest expansion, Dawn Path, earlier this month.
