She showed her playful side by sharing the blunder on social media.

In the clip, Teagan thought she was out of the picture because a producer had told her she was “safe,” so she threw her microphone in the air and said, “Thank you!”

However, the reporter was still live.

She captioned the video: ‘Producer in my ear: “You’re clear.” In reality we were NOT clear… so I hope you enjoyed my mic playing.’

People on the internet filled the comments section and praised the reporter for her twirling skills.

Someone said, “I think this has just become your standard closing! Legendary.”

Someone else added: ‘Honestly 10/10 mic spin.’

One user commented: ‘That’s fantastic. More of this.’

“Awesome. It could have been so much worse,” said a fifth person.

“This is amazing,” was one of the comments.

While I’m talking to you Today, The reporter admitted that she was grateful that she hadn’t done anything embarrassing when she thought she wasn’t on TV.

She added that she often turned the microphone to calm her nerves.

“I just do what I always do, throw my mic up in the air. Or sometimes I spin, or, I don’t know, throw my mic. It’s just to get the energy out after I’ve just been on live TV and stuff,” Teagan said.

“I had no idea that was happening live on TV. They didn’t tell me after the fact, like the director or my producer wasn’t in my ear like, ‘Oh, by the way, Teagan, everyone just saw that,’ so I had no idea.”

Teagan added that she’s a “big fan” of sharing her blunders online.
