Trump’s lawyer Alina Habba chokes back tears as she tells the Republican Party convention that the only crime he is guilty of is ‘loving his country’
Alina Habba, Donald Trump’s lawyer and MAGA favorite, became emotional as she took the stage at the Republican Party convention, just hours before her boss accepted the Republican nomination for president.
“Every attack on President Trump only strengthens our movement. The madness of the left. It is just a sign of desperation,” she claimed from the stage.
“Fake indictments and baseless accusations will not deter us, because the only crime President Trump has committed is his love for America, and America is winning,” she declared.
The 40-year-old attorney gained national attention after representing Trump in his successful New York civil fraud case. She has since served as a legal spokesperson and senior adviser to the former president.
Habba told the audience at the convention that they were probably used to her “screaming outside the courthouse,” but she wanted to take them behind the law and the headlines.

Habba praised Trump for “supporting her in her journey” and “empowering” her and called him a friend.
“Despite the lawfare and the politics, President Trump loves the American people and this country,” she claimed.
She accused the left of trying to “destroy” him, but claimed there is no “bulldozer big enough or strong enough” to take away the legacy he left behind.
The crowd on the convention floor greeted her appearance with enthusiastic cheers as she took the stage in a white suit and high heels.
Habba called Trump a friend when she spoke at the convention. She is a senior adviser to his campaign and has been a legal spokesperson during his multiple trials, including the criminal case in New York, where he was found guilty on 34 counts.

Habba rose to prominence representing Trump in his fraud case after New York Attorney General Letitia James charged the former president with inflating property values to obtain better loan terms.
Trump was found liable in the case in February and fined $364 million.
The ex-president posted $175 million bail in April, suspending collection of the $454 million owed while he appeals the decision.

Since then, Habba has been a key part of Trump’s team, often appearing on cable television as his legal spokesman.
During the ex-president’s criminal trial in New York, where Trump was found guilty by a unanimous jury on 34 counts of falsifying corporate records, Habba was often seen with the ex-president’s team on the way to the criminal court in Lower Manhattan.
She was also seen sitting in the courtroom with the ex-president’s adult children, who were also present and defended him in numerous interviews.

Habba previewed her convention speech on Fox News before taking the stage, where she said she wanted to tell people more about the Trump she knows.
