From the return of the Nokia 6310 to a rise in vinyl sales, it’s safe to say retro devices are making a comeback.
Now the retro revival has gone one step further with the launch of a very unusual toilet seat.
The toilet seat incorporates nostalgic devices such as a Blackberry, Motorola flip phones and even vintage charging cables.
But if you want to get your hands on it, you’ll have to be quick (and be prepared to pay a pretty penny for it!)
The toilet seat retails for a whopping £978, and there are only two of them.

The ‘2G TRASH PHONES Toilet Seat’ is the brainchild of Bailey Hikawa, a Los Angeles-based artist and industrial designer.
Ms. Hikawa opened her studio in 2019 with a line of ergonomic and sculptural iPhone cases.
However, she achieved her real fame in 2023, when she launched a line of custom-made toilet seats.
Her latest design consists of dozens of retro smartphones embedded in gray, speckled resin.
“These toilet seats are handcrafted in our Los Angeles studio, are one-of-a-kind, and are made one at a time. They will last a lifetime,” the toilet seat description reads.

Perhaps the craziest of them all is the ‘YOUR HAIR IS EVERYWHERE Toilet Seat’, which features long locks of hair embedded in resin, and retails for £1,056
‘Highest quality hair, durable and lasts a lifetime.
“It’s actually a family heirloom that you can pass on to your children.”
Although there are only two of these toilet seats in existence, Ms. Hikawa has several other crazy designs for sale on her website.
Watch collectors may appreciate the ‘A MATTER OF TIME Toilet Seat’, priced at £1,369 and featuring a range of watches.
Meanwhile, a budding optician might be interested in the ‘CLEAR VISIONS Toilet Seat’, which retails for £978 and includes a pair of glasses, sunglasses and lenses.
But perhaps the craziest is the ‘YOUR HAIR IS EVERYWHERE Toilet Seat’, which has long locks of hair embedded in the resin. It costs £1,056.
