All the Boys season 5 news we’ve heard so far
The boys delivered its most climactic season finale yet. Unfortunately, that also means it ended on a hell of a cliffhanger.
The good news is that we know for sure that The boys is coming back for a final season, so the wait for answers won’t be that long. But before then, here’s everything we know about The boys season 5.

Will there be a fifth season of The Boys?
It is. The boys has already been renewed for its fifth and final season. The announcement came shortly before the release of season 4, and came via a message on X from showrunner and creator Eric Kripke, who says:
#The boys Season 4 premiere week is a good time to announce: Season 5 will be the final season! Always my plan, I just had to be careful until I got the final approval from Vought. I’m excited to bring the story to a bloody, epic, steamy climax. Tune in to watch Season 4 in 2 DAYS, because the end has begun!
When is season 5 of The Boys coming out?
There really is no telling when the next season of the show will arrive, but it’s probably safe to assume it won’t be until 2026. Firstly, the show doesn’t seem to have started production on the next season yet, and secondly, every season of the show so far has had a two-year gap. Add to that the fact that Generation V is currently filming a new season and it seems like 2026 is a good bet.
What is The Boys season 5 about?
Considering where Season 4 left off, it seems like we’re in for a pretty apocalyptic final season. A showdown with Homelander always seemed like how the series was supposed to end, and now that Homelander is functionally in charge of marshal law in America, it seems like we’re finally set for the big showdown. Of course, as part of that, we’ll also have to keep track of what happens to all the now-jailed supes, and Butcher now that he’s out on his own – with some new powers to boot.
Will Gen V Season 2 Come Out First?
This is almost guaranteed, but we don’t know for sure Generation V Season 2’s release date hasn’t been announced either. But since filming only recently began, you can be sure (probably; hopefully!) that it will hit Prime Video sometime next year.
