Charlie’s Angels icon Jaclyn Smith, 78, seen on rare outing with heart surgeon husband Brad Allen during shopping spree in Beverly Hills… after revealing new career path

Charlie’s Angels veteran Jaclyn Smith made a rare public appearance with her husband Brad Allen in Los Angeles on Wednesday.

The 78-year-old actress, who played private investigator Kelly Garrett on the hit 1970s series, showed off her age-defying looks as she went shopping with her 68-year-old partner, who is also a heart surgeon.

Dressed in a stylish white ensemble, the star charmed the crowd with her huge smile as she walked hand in hand with Brad down the sidewalks of Beverly Hills.

She carried a cream leather handbag and her sandy blonde hair was styled in an airy blow-dry, completed with a light makeup look.

This news comes after she revealed that she has created her own perfume line, which will debut on HSN from July 24.

“I’m very happy with it,” the fashion designer told People.

‘It’s authentic to me. It comes from my heart [and for] my family, and especially my mother, who introduced me to fragrances as a young girl.

“She loved perfume, and the scent she wore would remind me of this one. It’s from my travels, my garden. This is really exciting to me.”

Jaclyn rose to fame in 1976 through the hit series Charlie’s Angels, starring the late Farrah Fawcett and 75-year-old actress Kate Jackson.

Jaclyn played Kelly Garrett and was the only original Angel to remain on the series, from 1976 to 1981.

After this, the pin-up girl made a number of TV movies, including 1985’s Florence Nightingale and 1988’s Windmills Of The Gods.

She returned to Charlie’s Angels by appearing in the 2003 reboot as Kelly with Drew Barrymore and Cameron Diaz.

Jaclyn also had a cameo in the 2019 film version of Charlie’s Angels, directed by Elizabeth Banks and starring Kristen Stewart.

The outing comes after she revealed she has created her own perfume line, which will debut on HSN starting July 24.

She was married four times, first to actor Roger Davis, to whom she was married from 1968 to 1975.

Her second husband was actor Dennis Cole, with whom she had worked on Charlie’s Angels. Their marriage lasted from 1978 to 1981.

In 1981, she married Tony Richmond and together they had a son Gaston, 41, and a daughter Spencer Margaret, 38, before divorcing in 1989.

Jaclyn married her fourth husband, 68-year-old doctor Brad Allen, in 1997 after a brief romance. They recently celebrated their 26th anniversary in October.

She has regularly shocked fans with her youthful appearance, nearly five decades after she rose to fame in 1976 on Charlie’s Angels.

Last year, she told The Mail on Sunday’s You magazine that she has eschewed conventional cosmetic procedures to defy the times, in favour of her own bizarre regime.

Jaclyn explained: ‘I don’t believe in fillers and I didn’t cut. When I put something in my face, I use my own fat, which is hard to do.’

She revealed that she was also afraid of using Botox, saying: ‘I’m afraid of it. My husband says if you use Botox over and over again, it completely collapses the muscle.

“You can overdo it in this city like it’s nothing. And when you’re done, it doesn’t look good.”

Jaclyn also exercises regularly and does yoga, explaining that her breast cancer diagnosis has given her a new perspective on life.

She was diagnosed 20 years ago after a routine mammogram revealed a lump. She underwent radiation treatment afterwards.

Now that everything is clear, she admits: ‘It’s part of my history and it changes you: [I realise] You have to seize the day. And we have to be more grateful. Maybe we all complain a little too much.’
