Bronny James makes his first THREE-POINTER for the Lakers as LeBron’s son answers his critics with best performance to date vs Hawks

Bronny James finally made his first 3-pointer for the Lakers on Wednesday night, helping the rookie break out of his shooting slump against the Hawks — and have his best game of the summer.

James, the son of Lakers star LeBron James, struggled in the California and Las Vegas Summer Leagues, entering the game against Atlanta 0-15 from the three-point line in four games.

However, he ended that drought in the second quarter of Wednesday’s game when he nailed a pull-up three-pointer from the top of the arc.

Later in the fourth quarter, he scored a three-pointer from the corner, which was his second three-pointer of the game.

Ultimately, the 19-year-old played his best game of the summer so far, making 5 of 11 shots and scoring 12 points.

Going into the match, he had scored 7 of 31 (23 percent) in the previous four games.

Those misses included a nasty airball against the Celtics on Monday.

He finished the game 1-of-5 with two points, and Boston star Jaylen Brown – who was on the sidelines for the game – was apparently not impressed.

Speaking to his girlfriend (and WNBA player) Kysre Gondrezick, Brown seemed to say“I don’t think Bronny is a professional.”

Gondrezick then seemed to say, “I think he’ll definitely make the G-league team.”

Rich Paul, the agent for Bronny and his father Lebron, acknowledged the couple’s alleged comments after the Pat McAfee Show.

“They have opinions. They can say whatever they want to say,” Paul began.

‘At least [Brown] is someone who is actually in the league… But I know Jaylen. I know he doesn’t mean it in a bad way… He’s just having a conversation.’

The Lakers eventually defeated the Hawks 87-86.
