AFL team is hit by shocking toilet disaster on long flight – forcing footy stars and airline staff to perform disgusting acts

Fremantle dock workers endured a horrific flight, with passengers reportedly having to urinate into wash basins while staff were forced to manually scoop toilet waste into wash basins.

The AFL team were reportedly on board a chartered National Jet Express flight from Launceston to Perth after losing to Hawthorn on July 13. The plane ran out of water after just half an hour.

The Transport Workers Union, which represents cabin crew, has expressed deep concern over the ordeal, saying crew and passengers were exposed to an unhygienic and unsafe environment because the toilets were not functioning.

Cabin crew were reportedly forced to manually scoop toilet waste into sinks, while passengers were forced to urinate into sinks.

TWU Western Australia State Secretary Tim Dawson called the situation “completely unacceptable” and claimed it showed “a blatant neglect of duty of care” to both passengers and union members.

“Our cabin crew should not be exposed to such dangerous working conditions, and passengers should not have to endure such stressful experiences,” he said.

Mr Dawson said the safety and wellbeing of members was the union’s “top priority”.

“This incident underscores the importance of health and safety representatives and workers having a strong voice to report these types of incidents before the aircraft is in the air,” he said.

“We are committed to the rights and safety of our cabin crew and we must ensure that preventable incidents like this do not happen again.”

The TWU has contacted National Jet Express, which is reportedly investigating the incident and has agreed to share its findings with the union.

Ny Breaking Australia has reached out to National Jet Express for comment.

Fremantle have not yet commented on the incident. Defender Luke Ryan will address the media on Thursday afternoon.

The chaotic scenes contribute to the forgotten history of Fremantle’s matches in Launceston.

The Dockers have won just two of their 14 games at York Park, but were given just one chance to celebrate victory on the flight home after their ‘Sirengate’ victory in 2006 was not confirmed until days after the end of the competition.
