Ingrid Andress sparks wild conspiracy theories as truth is revealed after butchering the national anthem at MLB Home Run Derby

Ingrid Andress’s disastrous performance of the national anthem on Monday has enraged online conspiracy theorists.

The country musician sang what has since been dubbed “the worst national anthem ever” ahead of the MLB Home Run Derby on Monday.

Andress has since admitted to being intoxicated during her performance and has checked herself into an institution. In a statement released Tuesday afternoon, she apologized to MLB and fans.

Many social media users suspected that there was a hidden motive behind the Grammy-nominated singer’s moody performance.

Several users claimed that Andress’ Star Spangled disaster was a publicity stunt to promote her own music.

“Ingrid Andress did that 1000% on purpose so people would google her and listen to her music to see if it was as bad as that national anthem,” wrote one user on X, formerly known as Twitter. “Really next level genius stuff.”

“When I see all the attention Ingrid Andress is getting for raping the American national anthem, I’m starting to think she sang off key on purpose,” someone chimed in. “Most people (myself included) had never heard of her. Now everyone on this app knows who she is.”

One user called the alleged plan “brilliant,” confirming the conspiracy theories of others.

“I don’t know what an Ingrid Andress is, but her anthem performance was absolutely intentional,” he said. “Now everyone knows her name and she’s getting clicks like crazy. Brilliant.”

Another added: ‘Ingrid Andress is actually not a bad singer at all, I’ve seen her live several times… which makes me think what happened here was just a terrible creative choice… something that was clearly wrong…’
