Google Pixel Watch 3 pricing may have just leaked
With Google’s next launch event less than a month away, the Pixel Watch 3 could be on the way. New pricing rumors suggest Google is aiming for similar pricing tiers to last year’s Pixel Watch 2.
This unconfirmed information comes from Dealabs (through Check notebook), and puts the 41mm Pixel Watch 3’s starting price at €399 – that euro price matches the Pixel Watch 2, which originally went on sale elsewhere in the world for $349 / £349 / AU$549.
The LTE version of the 41mm watch is said to cost €499 (~$499), which is €50 (around $55 / £40 / AU$80) more than the Pixel Watch 2 LTE, which launched with a price tag of $399 / £399 / AU$649.
According to Dealabs, you’ll be able to get the standard Pixel Watch 3 with strap options in Obsidian, Porcelain, Hazel, and Pink (one more color than we saw in a previous leak), while the LTE edition will come with Obsidian, Porcelain, and Hazel options.
We believe a second size of the Pixel Watch will be released this year. If that happens, it will be the first time Google has released its smartwatch in two sizes, so we don’t have any price comparisons with previous years.
According to Dealabs, the 45mm Pixel Watch 3 XL will cost €449 (£449) without LTE and €549 (£499) with LTE. Google doesn’t use on-the-fly currency conversions globally, but for reference, that works out to roughly $490 / £375 / AU$730 and $600 / £460 / AU$890 respectively at current rates.
According to Dealabs, the branding of the larger watch has yet to be confirmed, though most previous leaks have referred to it as the Pixel Watch 3 XL. The watch’s main rivals, the Apple Watch 9 and Samsung Galaxy Watch 7, also come in two sizes.
This source also says that an exact release date for the Pixel Watch 3 is still unclear. While Google did announce a Pixel 9 Pro reveal event for its August 13 event, it’s possible the smartwatch will release later in the year, rather than alongside Google’s next flagship phone series.
