Happy birthday Crown Princess Victoria! Swedish royal, 47, gives her lookalike daughter Princess Estelle a sweet kiss on the forehead as family attends lavish celebrations at Solliden Palace

Crown Princess Victoria was joined by the entire Swedish royal family on Sunday for the celebration of her 47th birthday.

The princess, who is the heir to the throne of Sweden as the eldest child of King Carl XVI Gustaf, opened her magnificent festivities at Solliden Palace in Öland.

She was accompanied by a host of senior members of the royal family, including her parents, the King and Queen Silvia, Prince Carl Philip and Princess Sofia, and their children.

During this event, Victoria and her daughter Princess Estelle were able to show their close bond, as Victoria gave her a loving kiss on the cheek.

Estelle, 12, was also seen whispering something in her mother’s ear, causing her to laugh out loud.

Victoria and Estelle looked strikingly alike in matching floral T-shirt dresses.

Victoria wore a gorgeous summer dress by Saloni with a patchwork pattern and black button details, while a matching belt accentuated her figure.

She accessorized with a silver horseshoe necklace, as well as teardrop diamond earrings with five added jewels.

Her husband Daniel chose to match her look with a bright blue suit, which complemented the colours of his wife’s birthday dress.

The couple’s youngest son, Prince Oscar, eight, wore a white suit to match Prince Gabriel, the middle child of Carl Philip and Sofia. The young boys made sure to look smart but comfortable and kept their trainers on.

The royal mother of two appeared to beam with joy as she waved to the crowd.

The Duchess of Västergötland was clearly in high spirits for her birthday, as the sun was shining.

It was a rare sight to see all of the Swedish royals in one place. Carl Philip and Sofia brought their children Prince Alexander, Prince Julian and Prince Gabriel, while Princess Madeleine and her husband Chris O’Neill were accompanied by Princess Leonore, Princess Adrienne and Prince Nicolas.

During the festivities, the children’s choir of the Borgholm Cultural School sang for her. Even the king sang along.

Victoria then joined a horse-drawn procession to the castle ruins, where her birthday concert will take place tonight.

Before she got into the carriage, she waved and addressed the large crowd that had gathered, who were clearly grateful and moved by all the tributes.

Every year the Princess awards the Victoria Prize, which this year was won by volleyball player Isabell Haak.

“It is truly an honor to receive this prestigious award. I am actually a bit shocked, but at the same time it is of course very funny that volleyball, a small sport in Sweden, is recognized in this way,” Haak said in a press release.

The following days are celebrated in her name – the ‘Victoria Days’ – and celebrated throughout the country.

Last month, Princess Victoria and Estelle looked strikingly similar again when they wore traditional dresses for Sweden’s National Day.

Swedish National Day is celebrated annually on June 6 to commemorate the accession of Gustav Vasa to the throne in 1523, which made Sweden an independent country, separate from the Danish-ruled Kalmar Union.

Although June 6 has been a national holiday since 2005, Swedes have been celebrating this day for much longer.

While the male royals were dressed in smart suits and blue ties, Crown Princess Victoria, Princess Estelle and Princess Sofia all shone in the traditional ‘Sverigedräkten’ costumes.

The garment has long been worn by the women of the royal family on public occasions.
