Sir Jim Ratcliffe sends HILARIOUS message to Man United star Luke Shaw ahead of England’s Euro 2024 final against Spain

Sir Jim Ratcliffe has sent a humorous message to Luke Shaw ahead of England’s match against Spain at Euro 2024.

Shaw sat on the bench for England’s last two games after an injury.

There have been calls for the left-back to start against Spain, but according to information from Mail Sport, Kieran Trippier will remain at left-back from the start.

However, Manchester United co-owner Ratcliffe has a warning message for his defender, who has not played a match since February’s quarter-final against Switzerland.

“Luke, don’t pull that hamstring again,” he said in a BBC Sport video in which celebrities wished the England stars luck.

Shaw has missed 34 games this season and his campaign was disrupted by a hamstring injury in February after playing consistently for several months.

He looked confident when coming on as a substitute in England’s last two games and was given 45 minutes against the Netherlands, keeping the attack calm in the second half.

Shaw had a fine career for England, making 33 appearances.

He is one of three England stars to score in the final of a major tournament, after Geoff Hurst and Martin Peters in the 1966 World Cup final.

The defender scored the fastest goal in the history of the 2021 European Championship final against Italy, scoring after one minute and 57 seconds to put England 1-0 up against Italy.

George Russell was also featured in the BBC Sport video where he said: ‘What I love about the England team is that they had a plan, stuck to it and were incredibly determined and that got us to the final.’
