A 22-year-old man has been charged after allegedly urinating on food at a Woolworths supermarket in Sydney’s CBD.
According to police, the man entered the George Street store on July 1, urinated on the products and caused more than $300 in damage.
Police were told that crews had been working for hours to clean up the contamination in the area.
Footage of the incident shows the man buttoning his pants as he leaves the store.
The man was arrested in Hunters Hill at around 1.40am on Sunday after police appealed for the public’s help.
He was taken to Gladesville Police Station, where he was charged with multiple offences, including contaminating property with the intent to cause public disorder.
Entering non-prescribed fenced land without lawful excuse, and offensive behavior while on non-prescribed fenced land, were the other charges.
The man was denied bail and will appear in Parramatta District Court later on Sunday.
