Bill Maher predicts the EXACT date Biden will step down for historic reason… before making hilarious comparison

Bill Maher predicted the exact date he believes Joe Biden will step down from the presidential race and offered an optimistic view of who could replace him.

The 68-year-old comedian named possible replacements including Gavin Newsom, Kamala Harris and Gretchen Whitmer, while insisting that “Biden is toast.”

He joked that “when” the 81-year-old steps down, he will choose August 9 as the date — the same day Richard Nixon became the only president to step down in 1974.

Maher slammed Biden for holding Democrats back in the run-up to the election. He named a number of alternatives who he believes could win in November, largely because they are “moderate, under 100 years old, and have a D next to their name.”

The talk show host, joined by former congressman Bakari Sellers and conservative commentator Ben Shapiro, joked that Biden will be doomed by the “mean girl” mentality of the American media.

“When they smell blood in the water, the urge to finish off a vulnerable person, they will never deny it,” Maher said.

He argued that for Biden it is “not a question of if, but of who” will replace him, as he satirically predicted that the president would seek to resign on the same day as Nixon.

“Yes, replacing a president as his party’s candidate this late will seem like a big deal — for about three days,” he continued. “And then we’ll all be over it.”

The comedian jokingly compared the surgery to an office colleague “getting her boobs done.” “At first you’re like, oh my god, but a week later it’s just her boobs.”

“America is going to do this, we’re going to get new tits,” he concluded.

Maher then listed a number of potential replacements for Biden should he decide to step down, painting an optimistic picture of several of them, some of whom he believed could defeat Donald Trump in November.

Maher began his pros and cons list with Harris, who he said would achieve a number of firsts if she made it to the White House, including being the first female, first Black woman and first Asian president.

“(She) gets all of Biden’s campaign money and on abortion she is living proof to women that Republicans are pro-abortion,” he said.

“She doesn’t just protect Plan B, she is Plan B.”

He also cited her past as a California prosecutor, noting that “Kamala was putting criminals in prison before liberals decided that was a bad thing.”

Maher noted, however, that Harris has “never been popular for whatever reason,” citing her poor performance in the 2020 presidential primaries as evidence.

“You can count the number of delegates she’s won on one hand, as long as that hand doesn’t have fingers.”

Maher then moved on to two other candidates who could pass Harris as the primary candidate, namely California Gov. Gavin Newsom and Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer.

Newsom referred to his good looks, saying he was “the only governor, other than Kristi Noem, who looks like they could make a porno.”

‘And at 6 feet 3 inches and 210 pounds, he really is as tall and heavy as Trump claims to be.’

Maher said Newsom’s biggest drawback seems to be that he’s “too slick,” but he didn’t think that was such a negative trait because “being slick is something Biden hasn’t been accused of lately.”

The comedian also put a positive spin on Whitmer’s hypothetical candidacy, saying she’s a “very attractive choice.”

He pointed out that she is a popular governor in the state of Michigan, who absolutely must win, and that she has a number of policy successes to fall back on, such as raising wages, protecting abortion rights and legalizing marijuana.

Maher argued that despite not having the top three candidates, the Democratic Party quietly harbors a number of viable candidates — if only Biden would step aside.

Among the candidates hiding within the Democratic Party ranks who Maher said could move up were Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg, Maryland Gov. Wes Moore, Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear and Pennsylvania’s Josh Shapiro.

“Nobody knows who these people are, and that’s a good thing,” he continued.

“We need some new characters in this sitcom we call a country. Americans like new. These guys, all you need to know is they’re moderate, they’re under 100 years old, and they have a ‘D’ next to their name.”

Maher concluded that with the looming possibility of a second Trump term in November, America “is sitting at the airport right now and we just need to make sure we get the last rental car.”

“Something relatively safe, relatively clean, and not Trump. If there’s not a dead Girl Scout in the trunk, we’re good to go,” he concluded.
