Pregnant former Hi-5 star Lauren Brant has revealed how she survived when her AFL legend husband Barry Hall was shockingly knocked out during a boxing match on Wednesday night.

The 47-year-old Hall was no match for 26-year-old former NRL player Curtis Scott, who brought down the former Swans star with a venomous left hook in the opening stages of the match.

The brave football veteran fought on, but was finally defeated with 90 seconds left in the first round when the referee stopped the match.

Brant, who is expecting her fourth child, watched from home in Queensland and shared how she is coping.

“I’m so happy the sun is finally shining because it’s been raining all week,” she wrote in a social media post.

‘Also, the last four nights have been very difficult, because Barry was away and I am already 39 days pregnant. According to my due date, I should give birth in two days.

“So yeah, I talked to Bubby and said, ‘Please stay inside until Daddy comes back.’”

‘But we’re going to the airport to pick up Barry and the boys and I are so excited.

‘I was only able to cope because my dear mother stayed with me and I had the support of my father and some very special friends of Barry and mine who kept in touch with me.

‘So yes, the sun is shining, Barry is home and I’m sure it won’t be long before we meet this little angel.’

The couple are already the proud parents of three sons: Miller, Houston and Samson.

In June 2021, the couple confirmed during an emotional interview on A Current Affair that they had secretly married in February and that they were expecting their third child.

Last February, they shared their euphoria about their two-year anniversary on Instagram.

Lauren posted an adorable photo of herself and her husband Barry, holding up their marriage certificate.

“Two years, the most romantic elopement fueled by LOVE and LIFE. Words can’t describe it. I love you Barry,” her post read.

The couple secretly married in February 2021 so that her terminally ill sister-in-law Sandra could attend the wedding. Sandra was married to Lauren’s brother.

Tragically, she passed away just two weeks later, after her second battle with stage four colon cancer.
