Alec Baldwin’s Hamptons home STILL unsold after $10million price cut as source denies actor is under financial strain amid Rust manslaughter trial

Alec Baldwin’s luxurious Hamptons home remains unsold after its price was slashed by $10 million. It has been on the market for almost two years, while his manslaughter trial in Rust continues.

The 66-year-old actor, who is currently on trial in New Mexico after the Oct. 21, 2021, death of camerawoman Halyna Hutchins, 42, first put the 25-acre estate on Town Lane in Amagansett up for sale in September 2022 for $29 million.

The home has been lowered in price several times and has been on the market on and off. In January 2023, the price was lowered to $24.9 million, before dropping again in March 2023 to $22.5 million.

The home was taken off the market in September 2023 and relisted for sale in January 2024 for $18.95 million — amid claims the actor was struggling financially due to his “job losses, mounting legal bills and a growing bevy of young dependents,” according to the New York Times.

As of July 10, the house is still for sale.

Now a source has denied People that Baldwin — who has an estimated net worth of $70 million — is struggling financially, saying, “There’s no financial pressure. That house has been on the market for two years.”

After the Rust shooting, Baldwin sold his lake house in upstate New York for $530,000 and bought a 55-acre ranch in Vermont for $1.75 million.

The estate, located 100 miles from the actor’s family’s Greenwich Village penthouse, is described as the perfect “combination of nature and luxury.”

It features a 10,000-square-foot modern farmhouse, a pool, spa, covered porches and a pavilion with a fieldstone fireplace overlooking acres of rural Amagansett Estate nature preserve.

“Every detail of this immaculate, two-story cedar-shingled retreat has been composed to maximize indoor and outdoor space and take advantage of natural light year-round,” reads the listing, which includes an accompanying video featuring dramatic drone footage and a laid-back jazz soundtrack.

‘Entertain your guests and family with a large eat-in kitchen, dining room, movie theater, wine tasting room and private wood-paneled library.’

“A dream vacation for nature and horse lovers offers a unique opportunity to farm the reserve or build private stables,” the report said.

In February 2022, he purchased a historic 50-acre ranch in Vermont for $1.7 million. The same day, he was sued for wrongful death by the Hutchins family.

Baldwin bought the home in the small mountain town of Arlington, where his wife Hilaria’s grandfather lived, after the actor spent months in the area following the tragedy in New Mexico.

The stakes are incredibly high for Baldwin, and were painfully illustrated in February when Hannah Gutierrez-Reed, 26, the gunsmith on the set, appeared in court and was found guilty of the same charges.

In her opening statement, Erlinda Johnson, a special prosecutor assigned to the case, said Baldwin violated “basic rules of firearm safety” and was “reckless” on set.

According to Johnson, Baldwin requested the biggest gun available when he arrived on set in October 2021.

She told the jury: ‘When someone in the workplace plays with a real gun like they can’t believe it, violating basic gun safety rules, it puts lives at risk and someone could get killed.

“That’s what this case is about. It’s simple, straight forward. That someone who played pretend with a real gun and violated the basic rules of gun safety is the defendant, Alexander Baldwin.”

Johnson said gunsmith Hannah Gutierrez-Reed was a “very young woman” and “inexperienced.”

She told the court that Baldwin did not perform a security check on Gutierrez-Reed because he “didn’t want to offend her.”

Johnson also criticized Baldwin’s claim that he did not pull the trigger, saying a weapons analyst concluded that Baldwin did pull the trigger.

The trial is the culmination of a nearly three-year nightmare for Baldwin that has finally come to justice.

The Emmy Award-winning actor has pleaded not guilty to two counts of involuntary manslaughter.

The case had a long and arduous path to trial: Baldwin was originally charged in January 2023 with two counts of involuntary manslaughter.

Three months later, they were withdrawn based on new evidence, prosecutors said, adding that they needed more time to investigate.

Baldwin and his wife are currently filming a reality TV series about their family. It’s unclear if they’ll have a camera crew following them around New Mexico, but the show is set to air in 2025, meaning filming is likely underway now.

The case is expected to last eight days, with evidence and arguments presented, followed by deliberations.
