Channel 4 bosses are on the hunt for ‘sexiest singles ever’ as racy dating show gets green light for a second series in a bid to rival Love Island

Channel 4 is looking to compete with Love Island, with its racy dating show Love Triangle getting the green light for a second season.

The network is looking for the ‘sexiest singles ever’ as their most daring show returns.

Love Triangle, reportedly inspired by David Haye’s trio, is about singles who message two suitors before choosing one to date.

The show, which aired in April and has been described as a mix of Love Island and Married At First Sight, has reportedly been such a success for Channel 4 that they believe season two will be even bigger.

A source said The sun on Wednesday: ‘Love Triangle was a huge success for E4 and exactly the kind of show that fits their brand.

Channel 4 is set to try and emulate Love Island. The racy dating show Love Triangle has been given the green light for a second season, it was announced on Wednesday.

‘It’s from the makers of Married At First Sight and is a cross between Married At First Sight and Love Island, so bosses really want to bring it back.

‘They’ve already started casting for a second season and are looking for the sexiest singles ever.’

MailOnline has reached out to The Sun for comment.

In April it was reported that Channel 4 would be axing the Rylan-presented series Sex Rated to make way for a number of new shows, including Love Triangle.

According to Channel 4In Love Triangle, six singles (selectors) chose from just two carefully chosen partners (suitors).

The singles were given the chance to build a bond within two days, exclusively through text messages.

They then had to choose between their two potentially life-changing matches before meeting on a blind date.

Just 24 hours later, the person who could choose and his or her partner had to take the special step of moving in together and discovering what their future could look like.

But a series of harrowing plot twists awaited her that neither the bachelors nor the suitors saw coming.

During the explosive new series, the six singles were forced to question themselves, their choices and everything they thought they knew about love.

Rylan admitted that the aim of the Sex-Rated series was to promote positivity in the bedroom, before it was announced that the series would be ending.

The show, which aired last year, asked contestants to talk about their sex lives before rating themselves out of 10.

Speaking about X-rated show Loose Women last year, Rylan joked that the show was ‘the beginning or the end for him now’.

Rylan said: ‘I keep joking that this is the beginning of the end for me.

‘Channel 4 wanted to make a show that was sex positive, and that’s really important to me. You know, I’ve been single for two years now.

‘I think you have to be positive about things like sex, but you have to put an entertainment spin on it, but not something horrible.

‘So, [using Colleen as an example] You come on the show and I ask you to rate yourself on a scale of 1 to 10 on different topics related to sex. We have a little conversation and say, “Oh, I’ll give myself an 8 on this, a 7 on this, a 10 on that.”

“Then we’ll bring in two of your exes who have also rated you and then we’ll compare those numbers. I’m sure everyone, myself included, has different things to work on in the bedroom.

“Then we have our sex-pert Ruby, and we do our sex exercises.”
