Former football star and Richmond legend Jack Riewoldt has sold his luxury home in Brighton, Melbourne, for $7 million.

Riewoldt, 35, won the Premier League championship three times with the Tigers and last year bid an emotional farewell to the AFL after 16 years at the top level.

The Tasman has made Melbourne his home since joining the Punt Rd club and according to realestate.com.au, the 35-year-old and his wife Carly have sold their four-bedroom home in the posh suburb of Brighton.

Andy Nasr, director of Marshall White Bayside, declined to comment on the sale, but the same outlet reports that Riewoldt has negotiated a sales price of approximately $7 million for the home.

Documents show the soccer star bought the property for $3.81 million in November 2017. Title deeds list Riewoldt and Carly as joint owners.

The red brick house has a spacious front garden and has been thoroughly renovated.
