Krsitie Mcbride death: Major update after Warrawong mum was allegedly stabbed to death by teenage girls as she tried to break up fight
More murder charges have been filed against three teenage girls involved in a wild street brawl that left a heroic mother believed to have been stabbed to death.
Kristie McBride, 39, was stabbed in the head and torso during an alleged fight between two groups of girls outside a house in Warrawong, in the Illawarra region of New South Wales, south of Sydney, on November 22 last year.
Ms McBride died in Wollongong Hospital 10 days after the alleged attack.
A 15-year-old girl has been charged with murder, following the death of Mrs McBride.
Six teenage girls, ages 13 to 17, were charged in connection with the brawl, as well as the victim’s sister, Carly McBride, then 37.
Since then, additional murder charges have been filed against three girls who were friends of the first murder suspect.
The new charges were confirmed in Port Kembla Children’s Court on Tuesday, when the cases of four girls were heard, the ABC reported.
Two of the girls are still in custody.
The three girls recently charged with murder will return to court later this month, where prosecutors are expected to file a motion to revoke the bail of two of the teens.

Two teenage girls also appeared separately in court in Port Kembla on Tuesday.
One girl, who was 17 at the time of the brawl, pleaded guilty to affray, while another pleaded guilty to carrying a weapon to commit a crime.
After the suspects were found guilty, the established facts were presented to the court.
They revealed that a group chat was created on Instagram the night before the fight, in order to organise the brawl between the two groups of teenage girls.
The fight is said to involve a group of four teenage girls, who are now accused of murder, and another group, including two 17-year-old girls, who are also due to appear in court.
According to ABC documents, a 15-year-old girl from the first group allegedly said she would “whip them all” because they “told nonsense about her and her sister.”
You can bring girls to my house [expletive] “I’ll destroy you all,” the 17-year-old replied.
During the group chat, the 15-year-old, who was initially charged with murder, made a total of 11 violent threats against the 17-year-old’s younger sister, according to the facts.
The facts show that she allegedly told the girl: ‘I’ll spread you out like a fish’ and ‘but not before I cut you open’.
A meeting between the girls was scheduled for November 22 at 2:00 p.m.
The agreed facts were that three of the teenage girls stole “three knives” from a Wollongong supermarket on the morning of the brawl and that both groups of girls threatened each other with violence throughout the day.

After Carly McBride became aware of threats in the group chat, she asked her sister to come over ‘so she felt safer’
The facts show that after the four teenage girls arrived with other youths, Carly McBride was armed with a metal baseball bat, while a teenager in a house in Warrawong was armed with a piece of wood.
The ensuing brawl was filmed on two mobile phones.
One of the teens was allegedly beaten with a baseball bat by Carly McBride, before Kristie McBride approached another girl.
The facts show that the 15-year-old girl “swiped the knife at Kristie McBride’s head, causing a 6-centimeter laceration to the left parietal skull and a 2-centimeter laceration to the left forehead.”
Kristie McBride was then allegedly stabbed twice in the abdomen.
The agreed facts were stated as she walked away from the scene of the fight. She said, “That little prick stabbed me.”
One of the 17-year-olds flagged down a police car, after which Carly McBride allegedly chased after the teens with a baton.

The facts show that the 15-year-old girl gave her knife to a friend, who reportedly threw it away less than a mile from the crime scene. Police found the knife shortly thereafter.
Three of the teens were arrested at the scene, but the 15-year-old who police say stabbed Kristie McBride was not arrested.
The court heard the 15-year-old later responded to the Instagram chat with: “Is your girl dead?”
“It looks like she has a deep stab wound. I might want to send her to the hospital.”
On Tuesday, Magistrate David Williams sentenced an 18-year-old girl to a 12-month suspended sentence for one count of affray.
Her co-defendant will be sentenced later.
Magistrate Williams said while there was “no doubt” she took part in the brawl, she played a “relatively minor role”.
He told the court the defendant had been guilty of “violent acts” and only stopped when she saw one of her opponents with a knife.
“[Her death] has had a profound impact on [the accused]“because it has had a profound impact on everyone involved,” said Magistrate Williams.
“It is a terribly tragic incident and everyone involved is responsible for what happened.”
