Tori Spelling gives fans an inside look into her veneer procedure – and reveals how her new teeth have raised her confidence: ‘I’m smiling again’

Tori Spelling gave fans a glimpse into the veneer procedure that boosted her confidence and made her “smile again.”

Spelling, 51, has been candid with fans about the treatment, saying she once had a beautiful smile, but that it has faded over the years as her teeth have become less important.

But now, Spelling isn’t hiding her teeth anymore, thanks to her best friend, celebrity dentist Dr. Kevin Sands.

Both Spelling and Sands shared a video documenting her makeover, from the consultation to the day her veneers were officially applied.

“So I’m getting a new smile from Dr. Sands. It feels so weird to say that. Kevin and I have been best friends since we were 15,” Tori — who got the veneers in May — explained during her consultation.

Sitting in the chair, she told her friend, “Watching 90210 again, I laughed at every scene!”

“You have the most beautiful teeth!” Dr. Sands insisted.

“I did,” she replied in a wistful tone.

Dr. Sands, who has worked on Kim Kardashian and Drake, among others, explained what he planned to do that day: “Today we’re going to take a thin layer off the top of your tooth.”

Tori candidly described how her teeth had undermined her self-confidence over the years, when they were once her “thing.”

“When I was younger, my smile was my thing,” Tori explained. “And then as I got older, I never paid attention to my teeth.”

“When I talk to people, I raise my hand and stuff, and it’s really knocked my confidence,” she added. “So I’m super excited because Kevin is going to give me a whole new smile.”

Tori first received a set of temporary veneers.

In the two weeks since the temporary shelter was placed, Tori noticed her confidence had increased.

“My whole confidence, even in the last two weeks, has increased. Even in my temporary teeth. Like I’m smiling again, and I just feel so much better, so I can’t wait to get my new teeth,” she explained.

Tori got her veneers a few days before her 51st birthday on May 16th.

Last month she spoke candidly about her decision to have veneers fitted after years of feeling insecure about her ‘dirty’ teeth.

In an episode of her misSPELLING podcastthe actress admitted that she “let her teeth fall” at 40.

As a birthday present to herself, she decided to brighten up her smile with the help of Sands, who was appearing as a guest that week.

“I always say I’m afraid of the dentist. I’m going to ruin my teeth,” the Beverly Hills, 90210 star told listeners, before asking Sands, “So how bad were my teeth?”

Sands held his mouth open and said Tori’s old teeth were “disgusting, to say the least.”

He continued, “They were chipped, discolored. They didn’t look like the Tori I used to know.”

Tori agreed with Sands’ blunt assessment. “Yeah, I couldn’t laugh. I didn’t smile,” she said. “I didn’t get a cavity until I was 40. It just went downhill from there.”

After years of hiding her smile, Tori contacted Sands and they decided veneers were the solution.

“I wanted you to look like you used to be, the beautiful Tori I know,” Sands said, before explaining the procedure.

“We reshaped every single one of Tory’s teeth. We took these special custom molds and from those molds we hand-made each individual tooth, and we just rebuilt her smile the way it was 20 years ago,” he said.

“Now you have a full smile. They’re white, beautiful, sexy. Look at you. You look 10 years younger.”

Tori is absolutely thrilled with the results. “I’ve never been happier. I’m smiling now. There’s a whole new me. People underestimate a smile,” she raved.
